I honestly have no clue. I usually post on forums from tapatalk and take pictures directly from there. What's the easiest way/site/app to take a pic from my phone and upload it to Neogaf?

If you don't care about image compression, Imgur is pretty hassle free.

I use imgur, but I'm sure there are better apps out there. It doesn't parse the links as BBcode for me, for instance, so I have to manually add the

Didn't somebody post an image from their fone in a thread and somebody else managed to figure out where they lived or something just from the image data or something...?

I remember that happening in a thread once and the person who figured it out by the image got slammed. Lol

EXIF data. Contains metadata/tags that can list a GPS co-ordinate of where the photo was taken.

*EDIT* Imgur automatically strips EXIF data upon upload, so that's another good reason to choose their service.

Do you know how compressed imgur quality is from your phone? It's still a clear picture right?


I really don't know shit about image uploading sites. Never used them. I've taken forum tools for granted.

You need to touch the little camera icon that appears T the bottom of your screen. That lets you pick photos from your camera roll. It's not a great interface.

Use imgur. It removes the EXIF data which prevents a gaffer making odd comments about knowing where you live.

Nooo, use Imgur for gifs, it automatically generates a gifv compatible with the NeoGFY extension (excellent for those of us with slow connections/data caps)

You can enable HQ uploads from the settings to upload pics with minimal compression and huge gifs.

I use Imgur. There are browser extensions that allow you to right-click any image on a website and rehost it on Imgur with one click. This is the one I use in Firefox: -

There are extensions with more features than this, but I like the simplicity of this one.

Agreed. I've stopped using it on mobile bc whatever they did to the app with their last update makes my phone super hot and drains the battery fast af when I have it open for any length of time.
