Today I got my first new mattress in about 12 years. When I was in the shop, I tried many different variations as I'm a sensitive sleeper. I settled for a spring mattress with a firm and bouncy feeling, which is similar to my current mattress but of much higher quality: https://www.dreams.co.uk/dream-team-hudson-pocket-sprung-mattress/p/131-00664

I find these are good for summer as they retain less heat then memory foam and if you like to turn a lot in your sleep then it's easier to do so.

GAF, what kind of mattress do you use and how well do you sleep on it? I have a few friends who sleep on a floor futon or a water bed.

i don't know what kind mine is and i sleep on it fine. it's better than sleeping on the huge metal bar and wooden slats.

i like my sleep but i am not a mattress enthusiast. i don't give a shit about them. give me anything and i'll sleep on it. for most of my life i didn't even have a bed and slept on just a crappy mattress. as long as it's somewhat comfortable then i'm good.

Latex. Seems fine, only had it for a few months. We'll see how it lasts.

I do not recommend memory foam, like Casper or Leesa. They don't hold up after 5 years, and they're hot.

Currently have a Simba mattress, I love it as it's helped my back massively but the missus hates it (prefers a soft mattress) office workers...🙄

I got a spring mattress, rather firm. It's nice, but recently started to feel it was a bit too hard.
So I got a memory foam topper. Now it's much better.

I bought a hybrid mattress a few years ago. Spent about 1200 bucks on it. Well worth it. Very comfortable. It's a Beauty Rest Platinum, I think. Very soft.

I have a memory foam mattress with a fiberglas slatted frame (modular). Will be upgrading the mattress down the line.
Camelhair duvet and goose feather pillow are also quite nice imo.

I waste to much time sleeping for it not be be a premium ride...

I went into my local mattress store Divan Interbed-tion (TM).

I tried a mattress, it was too hard. I tried the next mattress, it was too soft.

But the final mattress, it was the same as the first and I promptly left the store.

I have a hybrid and I sleep pretty well on it. I broke the flannel sheets out since it's that time of year. My wife is a furnace so I end up teetering at the edge of the bed lol.

Couldn't tell ya. Thing cost like $10k (got it half off though) and feels great.
My previous mattress cost about $4k on sale.

These things get a 10-15 year warranty so no reason not to get something good you spent a third of ya life on.

I have a firm hybrid mattress. It's actually pretty great. The cooling layer means it literally never gets too hot.

WTF, I thought I was spending big by getting a £350 one (although it was half price from £700).

Sealy vermont pillow top, mostly firm springs with a superficial layer of memory.

Bitch costed me like 1300 euros

I'm German, so I don't use pleb terminology like "soft" or "medium" for my mattresses.

I have a 15cm seven zone cold foam injection mattress with H3 hardness.

We just bought a medium firmness, king tempur pedic a month or so ago and it's really good. The price is absurd but so far I'm gonna say worth it

Anything that is from the line dedicated to luxury hotels, these things are incredibly comfortable and indestructable.
