A little overrated in my opinion.

There are just way too many books and some of them are pure filler. Book 10 was torture.

The actual story itself is okay. Very vanilla fantasy, but nothing terrible. I've read far worse fantasy.

However, even with these faults, the books are still far, far better than the slop Amazon put out.

Hopefully this game uses the books as reference.
