First tragedy, then farce.
Lately Ive been looking to move out of the downtown area and into a part of town with more open spaces.. not a suburb mind you, but something with an actual yard and not assphault everywhere I look. I've been looking at smaller houses and townhomes because I dont want to get a big mortgage (I'm not going to live here for more than a few years)...

then I stumbled across a townhome in Westlake Hills in Austin (the REALLY nice part of town, Earl Cambell, Tom Kite, Sandra Bullock all live here).. it has a view of the golf course, a lake, is on top of a hill (with a wooded area surrounding it), it is on an acre and a half (manicured acre and a half, I dont have to mow a thing!), has its own pool, two car garage, my dues includes access to the golf course, marina and other aminities... and the thing is 2600 square feet, 3 bed 3.5 bath, has an awesome back porch and a balcony coming off the second floor with an amazing view of a lake (the balcony is literally over the side of a cliff)..

and all of this for 85K dollars.

This is what townhomes half this size in the shitty part of town go for, this thing should probably be selling for 4-5 times what its going for. I've put a bid in allready, and have my uncle going to take a look at it (he is a general contractor, so he can find water problems, foundation issues, infestation issues, etc.)... but seriously, SOMETHING has to be wrong here.

Im figuring its on ancient indian burial ground, snakes invade it every few hours, the house is falling OFF of the cliff, indian raids are common or something else really bad.

That kicks ass. I have a condo near campus that cost upwards of 140K.

I know, right now I'm on Guadalupe and 12th street and that damned thing cost 130K for 425 Sq ft. At the time I thought it would be right between campus and downtown and would be ideal, but it turns out its just far enough away from both to be annoying to go to either :p

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
You're moving to Westlake! Take me with you, North Austin smells funny and you can't open your door for fear of rapings.

Hmm, I wonder what could be wrong? I wouldn't imagine anyone having a hard time getting rid of such a place.
