Their three-out option is $17.99 a month now... when did they happen? I thought they were in financial trouble due to all the money spent on marketing?

They lowered it around 10/25/04... supposedly because of increased competition from Walmart.com, Blockbuster.com(who also may be now upping the ante in their online rental service by getting local stores involved either allowing you to return your rentals to alocal store or shipping them from a local store-rumoredly) and the rumor that Amazon.com is joining the DVD rental game.

Apparently, that's also when they jacked the price up to $22 bucks a while back...
