He's a staff writer over at some comic site now; and it's enjoyable enough to validate the M.I.A. Savage Dragon issues and She-Dragon special.

You can do comedy, horror, cartoons, war stories, romance, superheroes and any and everything.

And what frustrates me-- is that so few people do anything they want.

and. . .

Ever buy a comic book just for its cover?

I have.

I’ve taken to ripping them off and storing them in one big heap of bitchin’ funnybook covers. It’s a lot easier to justify when you get ‘em out of the quarter bin, of course but I’ve paid full price for many a comic, which I’ve rendered completely valueless.

One of my favorite, wacky Spider-Man stories from the 90s:

I'm not a big fan of toothy Venom, but Larsen and Michelinie made a good team.

I never quite cared for Larsen on Spiderman. Although his Mary Jane in lingerie was all good. :P

He's much better on Savage Dragon. And with his ideas on the industry, he's better off running Image.
