When exactly is the Rez re-issue coming?

Yeah, wtf.

Someone needs to take them to task for this one if it doesn't pan out... and it's sure not looking like it.

Why do I get the feeling that OPM lied about the report?

Well they weren't the only ones to report this. Not that it helps or anything.

Hey this is Sega, and at this point, they can do no right. They're masters of raising hope and expectations and not following through.

sega told me point blank it's happening in november (not that i wrote it up for OPM, but i did for GMR.)

so if anyone lied, it has to be sega. chill the fuck out. =)

Which is the same price the rerelease would be in Canada......

Not necessarily. With the dollar now at 83c US, prices are all over the place. Taiko Drum master is retailing for only five dollars more (CDN) than the US retail (65 vs 60)

Damn, where's that Toys R Us? I'd love to get my hands on a copy ot Rez, re-release or not.

And yeah, the dollar's doing great, and prices ARE all over the place. A $50 us game can go from $55 to $69 here. But a DS is CAD$199 :P

Yeah which Toys R US is that now? I'd love to snag a copy of this game.

I've noticed games are reasonably priced, I picked up Killzone and Ratchet & Clank for $49 CAD each. Not too bad.

This would be nice to know, since there's a copy of Rez in the $29.99 (CND) bargain bin at the Toys R Us I work at.

Buy that and sell it. I made a NICE profit on my Rez over the summer. About $50 (profit... Ebay still buying them pretty high).

Yeah but I've never seen a $20 USD game go for anything other than $30....Ok, maybe something in the bargain bin....But at this point in time $20 still seems to = $30 CDN.

I have to wonder that if Sega were to re-release Rez(which I pray they do); do you think they will use the exact same boxart as the original release, or change it by putting something "10 out of 10 GMR"?

Yeah, that's why I made the assumption. Katamari Damacy and Ty 2 are 19.99 US, but 29.99 canadian. As are all the 19.99 US greatest hits titles. I agree prices are falling elsewhere. Sly 2 is only 39.99 canadian (regular price since day 1) at my Wal-Mart.

Yeah I've seen Sly 2 sell for $29.99 in the Futureshop flyer. I was in total shock. Being a gamer is certainly cheaper compared to 15 years ago.

The rumor I've heard is that it will have completely different box art. The difference is not merely a review quote, but an entirely different picture on the cover.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I WANT ANSWERS

You and me both. I've always wanted to check the game out, but the whole "impossible to find" thing really makes it difficult. It appears that the whole November thing was a bust, though, unfortunately.

Yeah I read this several times in GMR - you'd think they'd have it right with their ties to EB anyway. This turn out to be false fo sure?

I was in my local mall this past week, and I was in the EB and they had REZ used for $30. I considered buying it, but I went over to Gamestop to scope their prices...I asked if they had it, and they said no. When I inquired about the re-issue they said it had come in September and was really only the left over copies and they sold out immediately. I didnt know whether to trust them, but I went and got the used one at EB. If it eventually does come...oh well.

They never got it in September.

yeah, i feel like sega PR may have blown this out of proportion. dunno, though.

you know, it's always possible they wanted to go ahead with it but the retailers wouldn't submit orders due to the tons of holiday games they could be spending that money on instead.

sad, if true. it would be nice for more people to find this game.

Actually, and don't quote me on this, but at this point, the legend of Rez has become so well known that I would wager that most retailers (at least the average goon at EB/Gamestop) would order this title if it became available again. There's been a few instances where I heard someone say "Hey, you should pre-order X game... it might become hard to find like Rez."
