When is Peter Pan no longer Peter Pan?

Peter Pan stopped being cool when he sold the fuck out and opened a BMW dealership.

A complete departure from the traditional Peter Pan, no matter how unsuccessful, is a more worthwhile endeavor than doing what has already been done before. I'd rather they try something new and fail than completely waste their money on already-covered ground.

Unless, you know, you think we don't have any great adaptations of Peter Pan.

a peter pan crime/legal thriller? Someones been watching too much Arrested Development

David Bowie should be cast as Captain Hook and Michael Jackson should be cast as Peter Pan

this will look nice next to my "dark and gritty mario" art and my Epic Mickey concept art, in my room full of "childhood things I want to relive but in a dark and gritty way to feign deepness"
hahah, pretty funny

You're starting from a base assumption that we require another Peter Pan movie.

Do you work in Hollywood? You'd fit in.

I'm gonna go ahead and agree. What shocks me is that Hook received horrible reviews. I liked the movie.

Hook was a fantastic movie. One of my favorites as a kid. Is it now considered a cult classic?

I wish this darker take on Peter Pan were fantasy. I really would've loved to see something like Willingham's original intention for Peter Pan in Fables in which Peter Pan is the bad guy.

If we're going the comics route, Marc Andreyko's The Lost series was amazing. Dark, and foreboding and mesmerizing.

In this story, Peter meets a new girl named Wendy in a train station, and entices her to come away with him. His eternal youth comes from being a vampire, and so are the Lost Boys, including Michael Darling. Far from innocent – Peter has an active, kinky sex life – they use their apparent youth as a lure for men interested in sex with boys their age, whom they then feed on. Peter poses as a underage hustler.

Detective Hook?

and cops are going to be the bad guys? So Peter Pan is going to be wendy's hallucination and when she flies she actually jumps off the top of a building and dies?

In this movie, the name Wendy has been replaced by the name Amanda Hunsaker.
