doesnt your camera or camera software allow formatting of the card? i dont think information will be retrievable after a format, not by normal buyers anyway.

If you're really worried about that (what, do you have top-secret military codes on the card?), here's my suggestion:

- Put the card in the camera. Format it.
- Take pictures of the floor or whatever until the card is full.
- Format it again.

In theory, the only thing that should be "rescueable" (although I doubt anything would be without far too much effort), will be your photos of the floor..

This is what I did to mine: Encrypt the drive, format it, and remove encryption.
