I realize GAF is a long shot, but it's worth a try.
I am Croatian and have to learn it well enough to pass a Foreign Language Proficiency exam (6 credit). If you dropped me over in Croatia today, I'd be able to get by just fine and slowly learn and perfect the language. However, my most difficult problems are grammar and word gender. Neither of these are taught well in the 3 books I've picked up but they are absolutely necessary to not sound like an idiot and also to pass a 6 credit exam! My father speaks it well but he's a terrible communicator; listening and patience are not his strong suits.
What is the best place to learn grammar and word gender for foreign languages? Anybody have any suggestions? Any language majors out there? If I want to graduate Uni in August, I have to take the exam by May 30th and pass this thing.
