Where my invert keepers at?

I love invertebrates and am constantly fighting the urge to buy something new.

It’s a pretty niche hobby, but anyone on GAF obsessed with insects and arachnids?

You guys don’t know what you’re missing out on. It’s like you get to keep this little alien, who’s behavior and anatomy is endlessly fascinating, and watch them grow and change and eat and drink and everything.

Tarantulas especially. Every time they molt, they’re instantly bigger and their colors usually develop. So for months you’ve got a spider a certain size, they molt, and bam! Bigger, more beautiful spider. It’s like your own pokemon that evolves.

Your dismissal, which is often leveled at your own hobby (gaming), is disappointing GAF!

I mean I guess lots of people like invertebrates as it’s most things alive and while some of them are pretty cool spiders ain’t it my guy….

Jellyfish on the other hand.

Look! This is a Green Bottle Blue. You telling me this isn’t cool as shit?! I have an adolescent and I get to see it get bigger and change colors with every molt. Plus it’s webbing is amazing.
Are they the type you see people in videos let crawl up their arms and face? It looks cool but not sure I could offer one, or any other insect, a better habitat than its natural one.

I don’t handle my Ts. They get absolutely nothing out of it and if they were to be injured, that’s when it would happen.

As for habitat, the nice thing is that tarantulas are sit and wait predators. They actually prefer being cooped up and have very simple requirements.
