Sling.
$40 for sling orange and blue. Doesn't have ABC, NBC, or CBS. No ESPN U Possibly others. 1 stream for orange side. 3 for blue side. No DVR.

DirecTV now
$40 2 streams. 20 hours DVR

No CBS Sports, No Fox Sports 2, No ESPN U, No SEC Network, No Big 10 Network. DirecTV ondemand which is lousy. Relatively best quality of service.

PSVue

Honestly, looked bad so I eliminated pretty quickly. Forget details.

Hulu Live TV
2 streams. $40. 50 hours DVR. Hulu online content access. No MTV, no AMC, no CW, no Comedy Central.

YouTube TV
2 streams. $40. No online content besides channels. Less channels than DirecTV now and worse selection. No DVR.

So I had it down to DirecTV Now and Hulu Live.

Was going to go with DirecTV now. Then I realized I have no way to access it. Neither of my TV's have the app. Hulu I can stream through my Xboxes and on my living room TV.

So...

Buy two Roku Ultras and get DirecTV now? Or get the Hulu live TV?

Disclaimer: I would save $25 a month for 3 months intro rate on DirecTV for $75 off. No intro rate for Hulu.

It kinda comes down to which channels and how many streams you really want to have, but Sling Orange with the $5 sports package comes with ESPNU, NBA TV, ESPN SEC, ESPN SEC+, ESPN News, PAC 12 Network, NHL Network, and one other.

ABC, NBC, and CBS are all free in HD over the air with a simple antenna or even a bit of coaxial cable, depending on where you live. With an antenna, you may find that you have as many as 30 or 40 free channels anyway.

As a nice exercise, try dumping all of them for a few weeks and see what you really miss. I found out I was just watching whatever happened to be on and didn't miss most of them after all.

I'm still waiting for something cheaper more a la cart. Those are too close to a cable bill.

I should be able to watch football and catch the news for 10 bucks a month.

Attenna won't work where I live for those channels. I do technically have frde broadcast channels thru Comcast but I'd rather have it included in the package.

If cw, mtv, and AMC (lesser so comedy Central) have options to watch stuff free on apps, then Hulu is the no brainer.
