Who has pre-ordered their 360?

Pre-ordered mine for $50 at EB yesterday. God I sure hope the game prices aren't going to remain the same.

Not me. I'll be purchasing a Japanese model, so I doubt I'll need to worry about the system selling out. ;P

I don't want to wait in line like I had to last time. Plus I had some games I needed to trade in. They only had 3 slots left over too so I'm glad I did it.

Pre-order?

No chance, I'll buy none of the machines at their respective launches.

I'll give both 3-4 months to settle "launch model issues" and let the frothing-at-mouth impatient types beta the hardware for me again, same as I did last gen.

I've had some Gamestop credit lying dormant specifically for Xbox360, but need to see what bundling nonsense might be happening before committing to a store.

Didn't Gamestop and EB merge? Doesn't leave us with much of a choice.

"Why so soon? Are stores loading up on pre-orders or something?"

The one I went to only had 3 slots open, and if there is a shortage, and they come in waves like last time, I wanna be in that first wave without having to wait in like like I did last time at Waliworld.

To quote EB bigwigs: "Each EB store is getting 23 Xbox 360 consoles." They said this the night AFTER the MTV show. It's a bunch of bullshit, of course, but to answer your question -- yes, they're trying to load up on pre-orders.

I really can't see them being able to make enough units to satisfy three channels at once for a worldwide launch without sellouts.

That would be stupid BS if they are limiting the number of pre-orders that can be place to 23 for their stores.

Well, my EB said 15 per store. May very well be full of shit.

I pre-ordered but will make my final call near launch. I want to know the exact line-up of the games and see how I will be guaranteed one at launch if I do decide to pull the trigger.

Well they're probably going to do it in waves like last time, since they can't guarantee more than that. They don't want to take people's money and then later not have their system at launch. Right now they can guarantee 23 per store, but I'm sure they'll bump that up later.

I pre-ordered mine. I plan on having it paid off well before launch. Looking forward to checkingout some of the new stuff. I was already sold with Gear of War and PGR3, ElderScrolls Oblivion in icing on the cake. I just want the hardware in my collection so I can start preparing for the PS3 and Revolution.

Damn the haters, I know that this platform will have game I want to play, and that's all I really care about.

The choice is all mine if I don't like the ordering options. That having been said, I may swing by one of the stores around here and see what the story is...

It's worth noting that we were told we'd be getting 20 to 25 PSPs in at launch, but we ended up with 60, and extras to boot.

I have a pre-order down just in case this launch gets really crazy. This is the first game of the new gen, and gaming, overall, is a much bigger deal than it was when the PS2 launched.. I have fears of this launch going shit fucking crazy.

Anyone know how many units MS will have out by Xmas? Im hoping that 3 million number is launch day and they will get another million or so out the door over the next month.

Swung by Gamestop running some errands. Surprised to see they had apparently hastily penned up a makeshift sign near the counter saying simply "limited early preorder" or some such and $50 deposit for 360.

After making sure that getting my $50 back would be no-nonsense if I didn't find a preorder bundle to my liking or what-not, I went ahead with it. See how it goes.

My co-worker did. He's so excited, he's checking it out every chance he's got on E3 news. He's a big NBA fan, so I would assume he would be very happy.

I myself - I think I will wait a bit until I ride official X360 launch hype. It's just too early for me, although I'm definitely getting all three (if my wife permits)

Because if you don't preorder an Xbox360, you will never get one on launch day. Not only did I preorder an Xbox360, I preordered a new sleeping bag!

Yup last Saturday I put 50 bux down... I was remembering when Ps2 launched driving around desperatly looking for one, watching the people with their preorder slips casually walking in on launch day ( long after the lines had gone down) and picking up their systems....I also remember waiting in line at 5am outside of Target for my Xbox....and having to wait 6 months for a Gamecube....So yeah 50bux for piece of mind and a guaranteed system on launch day.

Also they said no bundles! :)

Exactly what I will be doing. Im sure i will have enough of a backlog of ps2/xbox/GC games to hold me over 'till i get a 360.

Who has pre-ordered?

No one but Xbots at this point. This E3 showed criminally little to warrant pre-ordering this early in the game.

No bundles? :lol :lol :lol

The PS2 launch was insane. If the X360 is anything like that i'd be surprised.

As a multi console owner I take offense to that! :)

my gamestop's been pretty good about not pushing bundles.

i plan on having it paid off, but should a bundle arise, i'll have them print my credit out, and then wait to buy a non-bundle.

all i want is Oblivion, which is 'launch window'

but hey, maybe they'll not bundle me with shit since i work there... who knows

well, part of that was production issues... but a worldwide launch could be almost as problematic... in any case, there is a chance that it could be hard to come by, and the 50 bucks can be moved towards a different game if I want, so why not pre-order?

If I change my mind on the 360 I can just get a game with the money... but if I wait and decide to get one at the last minute, it may be too late.

I used to work at a Toysrus a couple of years ago and the ps2 launch was crazy, I had to go outside and tell the customers who were in line that we only had enough for the pre-orders. On the other hand, for the xbox launch, we sold out but it took a few days.

I was a huge ps2 fan back then and I had no faith nor love for the xbox and I wore my PS2 jersey on at the xbox launch, the microsoft PRs who came at the store were so pissed at me, they didn't give me any xbox pens, just to my co-workers :lol

To be on topic, I won't have to pre-order the xbox 360, a friend of mine works at walmart so it's all good plus she gets a 10% discount :)

I've got one pre prdered at GameRush. I dunno if I'm picking one up though-if its 400 dollars for this beast then I'll wait.

Same goes for the PS3. I am perfectly happy with my Xbox,Sony and Microsoft had better not even think I'll pay 400 dollars alone just for their next systems.
