So its looks like I am not going to be able to make it to E3 this year after all so I will be doing the internet viewing thing this year...

So who tends to have the best coverage, IGN Insider or GameSpot Complete??

Gamespot has live E3 conferences, which IGN traditionally hasn't had... Other than that, IGN seems to offer far more comprehensive coverage w/ much better video quality.

I never get either and use the GAF and everyone last year went on about how Gamespot was dogshit and IGN was better.

I believe both MS and Nintendo do live E3 conf. for free, atleast thats what they did last year and the year before that. So the whole Gamespot live thing isn't what a person should base his choice on. I think IGN has great E3 coverage in terms of content.

The Nintendo site was clogged last year, I found, but who knows whether or not that will be the case.

IGN is better, for sure as far as coverage goes, so that would be my choice.

I will note, though, that Gamespot membership nets you a coupon code that gets you 10% off on purchases at EBGames.com. That's made the membership more than free for me (since i bought some 1 GB memory sticks from them w/ the code). It's certainly been more useful than anything actually on the site. :lol

IGN tends to do better coverage wise and they know how to cater to the fanboys with explosive headlines.

GameSpot's coverage is always tamer, a good place to go if you want a different perspective from the rabid reporting of IGN.

i'd go with GameSpot just for the live press conference.

IGN tends to get them up a few hours later, but by then, the excitement isn't the same. the suprise factor is definitely gone too.
