Who will stay true to their console? Madden for PS2? Damn straight!

Wanted to see how many of you guys are getting it for PS2.

IF you're getting it on xbox...stay away. I'm sure Wasabi will make an example of you.
 
FYI: Sources close to me say Madden hits August 2nd. Don't take my word for it though. Also, are you guys getting the CE or regular one?
 
The 2nd? What sources does the all mighty Mig have?
 
Matrix...I'm going to assume you're getting it on PS2. "Sources" As in...DM's/FMT's/Dskillz's sources. :\

m0dus, a quick search on you reveals you are an xbox owner. or supporter. Kindly step out of my thread if you don't have anything to contribute. I just want to know how many are getting the PS2 version, since some have jumped ship to the xbox version.
 
I was going to buy it for ps2,but since you went all psycho on me you lost a fellow player.

If I stayed "true to my console" I would be getting NFL 2k series since they are the only ones who were "true to my console" in the DC era. Madden certainly wasn't "true to my console" in the 16 bit era. I had both SNES and Genesis, but anyone around at the time knew better than to buy an EA Sports game on SNES. The slowdown was horrible!

That said, I'll stay "true to my console" and buy Madden on XBox just like I have the last two years. Why? It looks a hell of a lot better and I like the controller a hell of a lot better. Online play (FINALLY!) is just icing on the cake.

I don't get people saying that EA is staying "true to their console" when the graphics are worse, it takes a memory card to save, and EA DIDN'T EVEN SUPPORT YOUR PRECIOUS PS1 in year one. Buy the best version, don't "STAY TRUE TO YOUR CONSOLE" cause that's just sad.

I think Miguel was joking...He just wanted to know who was going to buy the PS2 one...Probably because of the online component (he is going to get it and wants to know who will have it).

I just want to know who's getting it for PS2. For online purposes.
1) I don't have an Xdude.
2) I don't have the funds for an Xdude.
3) Madden has been good for me on PS2, and XBL/Xbox isn't gonna make me spend money just to play on it.

I'm not saying "OMG EA AM TRAITORS". I just want to know what my competition will be.

I should buy it just to play MiG. :)

Then when I win, I can go, "That last inning was close!" and show my lack of football knowledge to rub it in even further... hm.

It's only $50? :p
 
I prefer to stay true to my eyes and wallet personally. Madden for XBox now that is is online is likely the superior product. I'm all over that.
 
Preordered it on XBOX, NCAA and ESPN make me wish I preordered the PS2 version. What the hell am I paying 50 bucks a year for? Worse online play? Sweeeeeeet!!!
 
PS2 comes home early and finds you in bed with your hand up the Xboxes pullover...

PS2 : "WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING!??!"
You : ".... looking for biscuits?"
 
I'll have to go with the Xbox version for the loadtimes and unlimited saves. If I didn't have an Xbox I'd get the PS2 version :D
 
Have fun. BTW, go post your names in the Online forum (PS2 or Xdude) so we can get a rough idea of how many will be on each.
