Well they didn't fire Kevin Rose or the X-Play guys either. Kevin Rose stuck around for a year or two at G4 if I remember. I remember him doing E3 coverage on G4.When they fired Alex (a newcomer at that point) and the rest of the TechTV staff, except for Sarah, I stopped watching that incarnation of the show on G4/TechTV. Thankfully everyone left to do Rev3, TWiT, or something else.
Fuck G4 and Comcast.
what ever happened to alex albrecht?
TRS and amateur film maker.what ever happened to alex albrecht?
did he and kevin ever release footage of their trip to japan? i remember them saying they had a bunch of footage but they never released it as far as i know.Still doing stuff with Revision 3 isn't he? Totally Rad Show.
Google has clearly jumped the shark. Whatever coolness they once had is gone.
What appreciable skills does Rose have? What can he make? I couldn't even dream of, say, Apple finding a job for him.
somebody should hire Brian Crecente
The same Apple that hired Matt Casamassina, a games journalist, to approve games for the App Store? That Apple?
Er...your avatar is uh...um...
It's a Rorschach test that reveals the subject's subconscious thoughts.
That isn't his job at Apple. He picks the games that appear on the front page. The recommended ones. The best of year game lists on the app store, etc. Which makes sense, since well he likes video games.
Tomato, tomato. Rose would be an asset to any company. He's smart, inventive, has good connections, and star power.
I've never really gotten over the absolute slaughter of TechTV. Nothing has ever really filled the void for me either.
I think Martin quit the podcast scene to go work for an ad company in 2009. Depressing.
You know what finally filled that void for me? Whiskey Media.
:/
Tomato, tomato.
It's not tomato tomato, it's an entirely different job. Rose has 'star power', ie. he's known as the guy who makes products that fail.Tomato, tomato. Rose would be an asset to any company. He's smart, inventive, has good connections, and star power.
Hahahaha what?
