Damn it, it's this weekend?

I guess I'll try and catch it tomorrow. Although usually I just check out the dealers to see what's available.

Well, it actually started today but I'm working so I'll just be heading down for tomorrow. It should be cool. I had fun the one time I went...so much stuff to check out and see and so little money to spend on it. I doubt I'll get to see Patrick Stewart since tix to see him will likely be ridiculously expensive. A lot of the free stuff should be good anyways. Plus, there will likely be hilarious cosplay!

Me, on saturday.
I have no interest in any of the 4 things there, but I figure that I should go to those at least once in my life. and who knows, there could be cool stuff there.

Sweet. I got a couple of books signed by Michael Turner and his colourist (for Soulfire) and picked up Jason and the Argobots by J. Torres and even had a nice little chat with him before getting that signed. Really cool and personable guy.

The Dreamwave section was probably the sleekest...they had a couple of booth babes that you could tell weren't overly thrilled to be there. I didn't get a chance to get Pat Lee's autograph, which I was kind of disappointed in. Same with Brian Azzarello. (I picked up Superman #204 for nothing. Haha.) And I found Daredevil #41, which I've been looking for for a long time now. It was the 25 cent issue. Woo.

Next year I wanna go for the full weekend and see everything and get as much stuff signed as possible. Tons of cosplay.

Never again, never again, never again.
I thought I can stand cosplayers, but uh, not really. They creeped me out for some reason.

bought a Street Fighter #2 Foil for a friend, cuz the cover looks very cool (Ken). A ReBoot button (yay). Astroboy and Nightmare Before Christmas shirts.

Some comments:
the toys are expensive compared to Pac Mall standards.
Nice to see that people still love Invader Zim after all this time.
Too much Naruto, no One Piece :(
interesting to see what sort of manga is carried. I guess manga is still sort of niche, so only a certain type of manga gets popular enough? Where's the Firefighter Daioh, man.
Some of the artists there were pretty amazing. I like that one dude who draws comic book characters in a caligraphy style.
