Why can't Bill Clinton still be president?

I'd take a bullet for Clinton. As for our current commander in chief... I'll hold my tongue cuz I don't want the FBI ramming down my door anytime soon.

The Haiti thing was a pretty big Clinton adm fuck-up.
It would have happened regardless of which party was in office. I don't understand how if your Haitian and you touch ground in the US that you can still be deported back to Haiti, but if your Cuban, its completely different.

I'll give the dems confidence when they earn it. The man spoke truth.
So you can see the future?

If Republicans didn't pull out the gay marriage bullshit at the last minute, guess what? Kerry would've won Ohio and Republicans would be crying.

Don't give up so easily.

It wasn't last minute, and yes it was bullshit, but that's the way the Republicans play. It's time for Democrats to enter the same playing field.

That was then. Since then the dems have gotten disorganized and sloppy. They don't have a strong platform instead of the "We hate Bush" thing. They don't have any good ideas, to me the party is in disarray. Some Senators are way out on the left alienating the moderate liberals (like myself) and making dems look foolish, while others are moving to more centrist essentially splitting the party in half. Add on top of that the constant drumming of misinformation coming from Fox News and other media things look pretty bleak.

It's 2005. Who knows what the future holds? It was indeed last minute. Well, true, the agenda was always there but they didn't have it pushed to the front until they started worrying about Ohio, dude.

I know "that was then," I was just making a point to say that had they not brought up gay marriage and took unfair advantage of undecided voters, Kerry would have won.

I think democrats learned a lot from 2004. If they can't pull off a victory in 2008, I'll be changing from democratic to independent. They now know what they are up against, and they have a long time to think about how to win next time. All they have to do is sharpen the message and get a more understandable candidate out there. It isn't that hard.

They could find someone better than Kerry. I won't lie; when I found out he was the chosen candidate, I literally said out loud, "he's never going to win." It is NOT hard to find someone "better" (to the American public) than Kerry.

Very true. Did you happen to catch the latest "let's blame all our faults on the liberals" piece by the DLC?

Hard to imagine a national party consistently winning elections when in years prior the various sub-parties and orginzations are actively sniping each other for the public to see.

Actually, the DLC piece I mentioned is much, much worse(read it very late last night). If it weren't for the fact that the DLC logo is splashed across the screen, you'd think this another Republican hit piece on Liberals patriotism after 9/11.
Why, because you think the best response to right-wing jingoism is left-wing anti-Americanism? You feel that sort of message is appealing to most American voters, and more likely to make Democrats a national party?
