Why do airplane crashes ALWAYS happen in groups?

Always always always. Last summer anyone? Air France in Canada. Venezuelan plane. Colombian plane. Nigeria. Afghanistan. Italy. 3 weeks 6 crashes.

And now its happening again.

An Azerbaijani plane crahsed yesterday, killing 23.

Before that was the plane off Miami beach.

1 days, 2 small planes crahsed in Caifornia.

A Nigerian plane crashed last week.

Air Indian plane landed the other day in Los ANgeles with faulty landing gear.

Etihad Airways had to make an emergency landing yesterday after running out of fuel.

Last week, a Midwest airlines plane had to return to Logan after having landing gear problems.

Am I the only one that noties this?

Late 2001 was also a bad period, and Im not just talking about 9/11.

Anything that isn't phenomenally rare will end up with noticeable clumps randomly. Relatedly, celebrities are dying ALL THE TIME so of course you can easily group them into threes.

Probably due to the same reason deaths seem to happen in groups of three.

Or why there are six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

I don't know... my faith in air travel continues to dwindle due to all the money problems in the airline industry here in the US. If people are unhappy in their jobs, people don't get raises, and salaries get cut, etc., it's hard for me to believe that they would do the best they possibly could at their jobs... and that scares the hell out of me when it comes to jobs like mechanics and those who make sure the planes are in proper condition to fly. I've noticed that on-board service from flight attendants has seriously gone down the tubes in the last few years, and I just hope this isn't spilling over to positions that put lives in danger if not done correctly.

Air Canada is the only airline that I trust (unless I have no choice but to go to another one).

I'll avoid any US airlines, shitty service, shitty food, shitty people, shitty airplanes. And I pretty much flew with all the major ones.

When I flew for the first time, I couldnt help but have this on the back of my mind, but each trip to and back went seamlessly and with no hassle

Just sit back and play DS
