Why I Am Choosing Switch 2 For Resident Evil Requiem

The switch 2 reviews are very good about the game , why so much immature hate on here ?

I currently have a base PlayStation 5 and a Nintendo Switch 2 and I finally decided to purchase Resident Evil 9 Requiem on the Nintendo Switch 2, here is why:

-Base PS5 doesn't have ray tracing just like the Switch 2 version (which is a huge visual difference) so they are very close in gfx
-split joycon gyro controls for precision aiming (Leon is going to be a blast!)
-stable 40fps will most likely be patched in for S2 even though the 40/50fps dips dont bother me
-Scarcity of the physical Switch 2 version
-Price of the PS5 version will be discounted more and sooner than the Switch 2 if I decide to double dip.

If I did have a PS5 Pro, then my choice would be the PlayStation 5 version. What do you guys think?

I was expecting to come into this thread to read about portability but instead heard about "possible 40fps stability patches", scarcity of physical media and split joycon. What do I think? I think these are strange reasons but hey do what you enjoy.

The only difference I notice is the hair. Thats pretty damn good.

The major difference is something you can't really see in stills.

Switch version is ambitious and one of the better uses of low-resolution DLSS upscale in stills, but it also aims for 60fps with hit or mostly miss results.

You do you, I have a PS5 Pro so I'll probably get the PS5 version of RE9 eventually.

That being said, I might get the Switch 2 version of Pragmata. It felt good to play the demo on the go.

I've pretty much used my PS5 only as a Resident Evil machine, but I'm getting the Switch 2 Generation back because for only $20 more you get 7 and 8 Gold versions.

I am gonna force myself to play 9 first, but I was honestly more excited by the prospect of having 7 and 8 available in handheld mode. I really hope they do the same kind of pack with RE2/3/4R on Switch 2 in the not too distant future.

PS5 for me, will always play this kind of AAA on best hardware I have unless I was travelling and needed portability.

Switch 2 is for Mario Tennis atm, people don't like the price but I'll still be playing it long after RE9 is completed.
