that combat plain looks rather silly. It sort of breaks the illusion of the world as I see it. Entering combat and the floor breaks into zones? This is like SRPG tweaked... Let's wait and see how it reviews. The character designs don't exactly inspire.

The hex grids remind me of the battle system in Jade Cocoon... I know it probably won't have anything to do with that, just an observation. This game looks awesome!
