Oh no! Then what reason iz there to play the DS anymore?I think they will keep the touchscreen idea, but have only one main touchscreen (no dual screen stuff).

If they do that it's the end of their handheld business. Most GB players don't want a machine like the PSP and vice versa. The philosophy Nintendo keeps with their GB line has an advantage over the PSP philosophy in durability, simplicity, cost and other things which kids appreciate better. If they make a direct response to PSP with their next GB they will willingly lose those advantages that's probably gonna alienate their GB buyers.
If there's any logic to them Nintendo won't have a direct response to PSP because it's just not much of a threat, and everyone but the hardcore gamers will admit that because they want to see Nintendo fall.
The only thing that could be done that would hurt GB's sales a lot would be if Nintendo themselves did something Gameboy buyers don't want, which is for it to be PSP-like. Remember that most people that buy and love GB aren't the ones gushing all over the PSP now, most of them are just now getting into handheld gaming, there are a few exceptions but it's definitely nothing too important in number, most PSP buyers now are people who's their choice for gaming was the PS2.
And even if Nintendo were to make a direct response to PSP, it's just not their area, they would never win. Each company has their strenghts and they'll stick to them.
Whilst I dislike drohne's usual anti-Nintendo bitchiness, I have to whole-heartedly agree on this one. What Nintendo needs is a big "fuck me dead" wake up call.drohne said:hopefully ds and revolution will have had a chance to fail by then, and gb next will be a return to sanity.
God's Hand said:DS has sold millions, and Nintendo is dead? This weekend, the PSP launch, DS sales increased 20%, probably because of people deciding to go for the cheaper handheld.

Out of curiousity, what are you playing on your DS to claim that it rocks?goomba said:I dont want another gameboy for years. The DS rocks.
But if your a graphic whore who doesnt like touching (girls), and actually find a gaming machine "sexy", theres the PSP.

Certainly not as revolutionary as the way you spell 'is'.CO_Andy said:What do you guys think? Iz Nintendo crazy enough to expand their 'revolutionary' ideas onto Game Boy 3?
goomba said:Actually i wasnt listing "awesome games", i simply said the DS rocks. They are the games that have demonstrated to me the potential of the DS.
I like it because it offers me gameplay not possible elsewhere.
goomba said:No oviously only DS games demonstrate the potential. The gba compatibility is just an awesome bonus, espeically for a handheld.
