Pretty much as the title says.

For some reason my Start Menu looks like ass, all the icons are just flat outlines. I thought I was imagining it but I opened up my laptop and yeh, the icons on my PC are not right.

I just built it todag so I've been installing windows doing updates etc etc so I have no idea how this happen.

I've tried googling which recommended deleting icon caches etc but nothing has rebuilt the default icons.

Your screenshot shows icons, so I'm confused. Do you mean how some of your default programs have white icons instead of colourful ones?

Are you referring to the tiles being missing?
Try going to Settings > Personalization > Start and make sure the settings match between the two devices

The icons are different and flat. I'd have to take a pic of my laptop to show you for whatever reason the icons on my PC look different. Ie.the icon for a calculator nornally looks different, same with mail etc.

If it's a new install you may want to make sure you have all the windows updates
Also i think some of the default apps use the windows store to update, you may want to try launching it if you haven't already.

Connect a USB drive with a Linux image. Reboot the PC. After it's done booting, double click on the "Install" shortcut on the desktop.

This looks like tablet mode. For some reason your computer thinks it is in tablet mode. Since you said you built it, and assuming you arent someone who just builds tablets for fun, there's something fucky there. Idk how to fix it though but maybe that'll put you in the right direction.

Press the white block next to the clock turn off tablet mode
