Windows 11 Leaks

Centered Task Bar. . .start menu is just a screen of programs "apps". . .

Not even pretending to not be a mobile OS repackaged at this point. At least Windows 10 had tiles to make it easy to customize and arrange shortcuts in the start menu. If you could just drag and drop from the Task Bar icons' recent files it would have been completely fine once you figured out how to get into the real menus and not the shitty mobile-style menus overlayed on them. I bet all the real menus will be gone in 11.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
Leaks memory?

Sometimes I wish I had a gaming capable PC, but I also remember how frustrated I was when I quit Windows.

Looks a bit barren. When I get hold of it I will set everything back to classic and complain about things changing when I can't get my printer to install.

Can't wait.

That doesn't look appealing at all. Curious as to how it's missing things that are finished/going to be finished in the latest Windows 10 update too.

You can move the start menu. Who would want that thing in the middle?

Is there a way to mortgage my soul to not have Windows 11 be a thing. Please. Just let the fully functional and entirely adequate windows 10 last longer.

Please. You money hungry sack of capitalist drive. Just don't do it.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

The Windows 10 LTSB will continue getting security patches through 2029. It's an enterprise product though, so you might have to sail the high seas to get it installed. At least the people who chose to hold on to Windows 10 forever will have an option that potentially doesn't leave them vulnerable.

That's not what I am worried about. One of my duties at my job is to assist with general "computer issues" on my floor and the floor above me if I am available and the move to windows 10 was weeks and weeks of just asinine BS for me. I imagine "Windows 11" won't be very different.

I actually like the look more than 10. Granted I rarely use windows anymore so maybe I'm not representative of the target demographics.

Looks like a nice evolution from windows 10. Just stop moving shit around and renaming things. Consistency is paramount to usability.

The OS migration from Win7 to 10 was so many man hours at my company. This shit will be a massive headache but I guess it’s just the way things are. I really wish it was built on Linux.

I worked for a company that migrated from xp to 8, fucking horror man. It was so bad they canned it.

I’m praying for something resource efficient, fast, is devoid of bloatware, and has a sleek, intuitive interface.

We’ll probably get none of the above.

Can't wait to have three generations of disparate UI elements clashing with each other while they continue to remove basic user controls and any concept of consistency as my preferences are overruled with every update.

I like what I see UI wise, minus the white windows in dark mode (fucking MS and their lack of consistency).

But overall has a pretty clean look, just like MacOS, which I love.

It's an improvement from the current version.

Tiles were so bad because the legacy icons and tiles always clashed. No one gave a shit to support tiles.

The start menu is so much cleaner without them.

And the rounded corners are a nice touch the sharp flat ui from win 8 to 10 always looked like place holder and bland instead of the clean minimalist they thought they were going for.

The centered taskbar isn't something I'd use but it's a smart inclusion. We have kids that are first exposed to phones so for them it might make sense for it to be centered. Also might make more sense if it is being installed on a tablet like device.

I hope it will be virus-free just like all the previous Windowses.
