Question, I have an Omnia 7 that is restarting randomly.. sometimes while I'm browsing and I have had it happen once when I was in MetroTube..

What could be the cause of this problem?

It happens with my Omnia 7 as well, but infrequently enough that it's not an issue. The phone freezes completely, the screen dims, and after a few seconds the phone reboots.

I think it's completely random, because I've had it happen when the phone is locked too.

i once hat the problem, when i pressed the upper right of tzhe phone too much that it would reboot. dont know why, but that was for about a week and then it solved itself

My Omnia has been having weird problems lately too. Sometimes I browse NeoGAF it hangs up, then when I press the home button to exit, the tiles on the home screen all bugs out and displays the same picture and leave shadows when scrolled.

Obviously we need new phones.

So the 920 is really only available on one carrier in Germany. Great job, Nokia.

Also, with the 820 being so widely offered, what's their selling proposition for that one? I don't see how it should be able to convince many people...

Edit: I though the 920 price was pretty steep, until I realized the iPhone 5 (32GB) is still 140€ more. WTF, Apple.

Updated for Germany and Italy.

Disappointing. Those prices are higher than I would have liked. Ideally the 920 should be 550 Euros to compete with the GS3, but I can understand why it costs more.
Really disappointed with the Lumia 820. With WVGA and 8GB memory, I would have expected less than 500 Euros, maybe 400 Euros. At 500 it competes directly with the One X and the GS3.

My mother's contract will be renewed in november and I was hoping for an affordable, subsidized Lumia 820.

When you're doing price comparisons, are you comparing the MSRP vs. MSRP, or are you looking at the MSRP of the Lumia and comparing it to the street prices of the other phones?

Mobilcom-debitel seems to be onboard with Windows Phone. They have both Lumias and they also already list the HTC 8X. They offer contracts for all the networks (vodafone, o2, t-mobile, e-plus).

Yeah, on my wife's phone, even living room shots are a challenge at night with the lights on. Ditto for dusk and dawn shots. Well lit shots look fantastic, but they look great on my focus s as well.

It's actually something pretty easy to do. Night mode for low-light, anyone?

Click here. The size's reduced to 50% of the original, but then again, no camera I've seen aside from 808 has great accuracy at 1:1. You can see a bit of camera shake, but I'm impressed by the results. Now, if I had a 920...

That does look pretty nice. My phone doesn't have night mode, is that a Nokia camera add on?

It's a scene mode. As a side note, I've noticed that I've got some purple haze when a light source is just out of the frame, like... the iPhone 5.

Noise tend to be caused by high ISO settings. Night mode = longer exposure time allowed.

At first i misread the sign as "Serve no Porn" lol.

But that does look pretty nice. If 920 actually is any improvement from that i definitely won't need any other camera :p

From all the time I've had with phone cameras, you can make up with a lot of shortcomings by doing some manual adjustments and using scene modes. I've noticed that night mode tends to increase detail in night shots as long as I keep a very steady hand.

Finally a clear, albeit small pic of the grey 920.

Yeah, the grey is looking nice. I'd take any color, though. The vibrant yellow and strong red are nice, and the black and grey are nice neutrals. I'd say matte vs gloss is the real decision for me.

I like matte, but I need to see and hold the glossy devices before I make any decisions. I think in the end I will go with anything other than black.

I think I'll go with grey. Unless at&t doesn't carry it, at which point I'll go with whatever color they DO offer.

I don't want gloss, but I also don't want to be without a 920.

Looking at it longer, it kinda bothers me that it is the same tone, but the screen space is darker. It looks kinda washed out.... hm, need to see it in person (next summer when it comes here, lol).

That's actually really nice looking, and with that incomparable matte feel of my wife's 900, I think that'll be my choice if AT&T offers it.

edit: any chance Nokia uses a more scratch-resistant metal cover on the camera?

[ ] Official Pocket (Read it Later) I use Burn it Later for now.

If I'm not mistaken, and I often times am mistaken, they said it was a ceramic material this time.
