Since formatting my computer and installing SP2, I've had a couple problems folder viewing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

1. Folders with videos that are thumbnail viewed freeze. I have to ctrl.alt.delete them.
2. I can open a folder and detail view, but when I click a subfolder, it will switch views on me. How can I get it to always detail view?

Thanks, GAF.

I have not used windows explorer in a long time. Trying to remember here.

2) Select the view you want for all the folders. Goto tools, options, view, 'apply to all folders'.

1) I am not sure how to disable the video specifically. The way I got rid of them was using the "Use Windows classic folders"' feature. I hate the XP theme.

Set the preference you want on current folder then click tools/folder options, click view tab and click "Apply to all folders". Does that work?

know what i hate... in a folder with mp3's, the 'arranged by date modified' option is automatically hidden for useless crap like arrange by track number and duration...

is there a way to force it to always be there in every folder, rather than having to enable it manually...

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.

I hate that too.

You can fix it tho. Need to tweak the registry.
