- Extra information / speculation -

The name ''Wo Long'' or ( 卧龙)
has several different meanings:
  • The literal meaning is ''hidden dragon''
  • The figurative meaning is ''emperor in hiding''
  • It is also used to describe ''an outstanding person who lives in solitude'' and ''undiscovered talent''
  • It is also a nickname of Zhuge Liang, a key strategist during the Three Kingdoms era.
The character with the yellow turban is probably Zhang Jiao, a talented scholar and a cult leader of the ''Yellow Turban Rebellion''.

The character on the horse at the end of the teaser trailer is most definitely Lu Bu, an infamous Chinese general known for his military might.

Musou or character action game like Nioh... I'm on board either way. Team Ninja has really won me over in recent years.
Can only guess from the description:

If this is indeed Nioh-like then I wonder if Team NInja will finally realize the open world/hub style they initially planned Nioh 2 to be. Would be cool.

Kinda curious about the no mention of platforms yet. Did Microsoft moneyhat that information or what's up with that? We usually know the platforms for games releasing within a year after showcase is over.

Doubt it. No mention of even launch exclusivity.
I think it is an exclusive.
Phil mentioned going to Japan to work on it and it being a partnership, something he wouldn't need to do for a multiplatform game. On top of that they didn't have "console launch exclusive " which is what they do with with timed exclusives, and while they didn't say exclusive they didn't say that for any if the exclusive xbox first party games other than Starfield.

Same thing with Persona. Leaks have it going everywhere but they only announced xbox and PC (not steam). My ass will be blasted if that persona 3 remaster is not on steam. I think they just agreed not to announce other platforms yet.

Nah. Watch the stream, they had multiple opportunities to label it as an exclusive both before and during the trailer and in Phil's little talking bit afterwards. The emphasis was on day#1 for console and PC Gamepass only. No mention of exclusivity at all.
Which kinda makes sense as if its a Nioh variant, its going to have 3 DLC add-ons which should allow them to make money on top of whatever MS are charging for exclusivity.

BTW. I wouldn't read too much into the Bloodborne connection, he's an old friend of Yasuda's who he went to throughout the development of the Nioh games for his advice and feedback - their relationship is covered in some depth in the cutscenes (archipel) doc on YT

I don't know if he was ever credited for the Nioh games, but Xbox specify it's a joint creation between the two this time.
A joint creation by Team NINJA producers Fumihiko Yasuda (Nioh) and Masaaki Yamagiwa (Bloodborne)

They only labelled the timed exclusives as "Console Launch Exclusive".
If you rewatch the stream when Forza comes up there is no mention of xbox console exclusive, yet we know it absolutely is.
The only game they used Xbox Console Exclusive on was Starfield, and that was to stop all the Sony fanboys from saying that maybe it's coming to PS.

Yasuda is the head of Team Ninja and Yamigiwa got laid off by Sony when they restructured Japan studio a little over a year ago.
The timeline kinda says it all, seems like a bit of opportunistic brand-name checking.
