I think this may be straight to DVD which is good cause it can be violent as shit, just like the comics. Marvel announced a while back they wanted to start putting its heros in animated dvd sets so they could be more true to the comicbook than a sat morn cartoon. I wonder if they will get the voice actor from the 90's cartoon he was awesome imo.

Hmmm. I think if 26 episodes are being made it'll at least get a shot at tv. Perhaps Spike.

Please no CG, Please no CG, Please no CG, Please no CG, Please no CG, Please no CG....

I second that. Too many times it looks downright awful, and when they blend it with traditional animation, it looks even shittier. I haven't even watched the past few Transformer shows because of that.

A bit off-topic, but there's been rumors that they might one day make a Wolverine movie.

I've always wanted to see a film adaptation of the first Wolverine mini-series.

One of my favorite limited series/graphic novels ever.

yup. I think they're shooting for an '07 or '08 release.

Random thought:

A Wolverine animated series done...Samurai Jack style.

With more blood, of course.

Now THAT's something I'd wake up early for.

They already did. They were called X-Men and X2: X-Men United.

:lol

Yes, but I'd like to see a movie that didn't have a single bit of science-fiction in it.

Just primal instincts and sword fights.

Under terms of the agreement, FST, which operates its animation studios in India, will begin pre-production immediately on 26 episodes in a 2D-3D combination of characters and background.

The initial episodes are expected to be ready for worldwide distribution by summer 2007. First Serve Toonz will produce the Series while both Marvel Studios and FST will oversee the creative direction. International TV and DVD distribution will be managed by FST whereas Marvel retains distribution rights for the United States.
