Moviehole claims the rumor that Hugh Jackman is playing Jonathan Kent in Superman Returns is not true:

Hugh Jackman is not part of the "Superman Returns" cast. Moviehole checked in with those in the know who confirmed that it's rubbish. "Jackman has been hanging around Bryan Singer because they're friends - and Jackman's in town at the moment".

then again...their source is moviehole...so you win. But phew, that makes me a lot happier. Besides, I dont think Hugh would play a role like pa Kent.
