The screen raito wouldn't fit either (for a HD game). It's also not PSP... pretty much has to be either PS2 or GameCube at this point, and PS2's the easy choice.

What's interesting to me is that part of the menu is empty and probably means that there are more games in the World of Mana franchise that yet have to be unveiled. After all, Compilation of Final Fantasy VII has so far gotten 4 new installments (AC BC CC DC)... I wouldn't be at all surprised if they whipped out a new next-gen Mana MMO or something similar.

yes! more "Seiken" projects coming :D
but I think not all the new projects are related to games
maybe Comic or Anime

Looks male to me. Also, you can count on it hitting the PS2. There is no reason to develop for the GC anymore.

Hmm. Looks like s/he is wearing a skirt in that screenshot...

As for it being 100% PS2... if it was such a certainty then it should be announced already, what are they still deciding on?

Edit: I'm guessing its PS2 or a possible upgrade to next gen.

They get attention from owners of all the platforms. It's a nice ploy.

While I agree generally, the surprise announcements of several Japanese GC exclusives recently (Baten Kaitos II, Gatchapon Wars DX, Naruto 4, Bleach GC, etc) have me wondering if this might happen with SD4 as well. After all, when the project was probably greenlighted when GameCube was probably still a viable looking platform for JP games.

But who am I kidding, it's obviously PS2. ;)

God...

Unannounced
Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 4
Unannounced
Unannounced
Unannounced

Why didnt they put SD4 the first? It should be the most important title of those six...wouldnt it?

Anyway, choose between PSP game, an online game, a manga, an anime series, a mobile game for the rest. More options?

Well, I think those rumors of a cross platform nextgen online Seiken sounded pretty good. Rounding out the World of Mana will be a manga, an anime and a mobile game/port. I'd still like Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu 2 on GBA though.

There have been quite a number of large profile JPN GameCube titles announced recently even though it seems as if there's no reason to develop for it any more. I wouldnt be surprised if this ended up on it too.

I hope it comes to Gamecube. Theres a couple of things on PS2 I'm looking foreward to but after those I may as well pack it away in a cupboard. The Gamecube could do with something new to look foreward to or I'll fast be playing portable-only games for a while.

Ahh, another reason to add to "why Zelda was delayed."

To keep the system alive for all the third party exlusives coming out next year that we didn't know about!

If Kouchi Ishii's working on this, can someone please get Hiromichi Tanaka to dump FFXI and do a new Chrono title?

you guys forget the fact that GC games can be played on revolution. I really think it's a revolution game with connectivity with the DS version

While I don't nessicarily believe THIS particular game is for the Rev, Wada did say that he really did enjoy the connectivity features between the Rev and DS using Wi-Fi and the possibilites of creating "new worlds" and "new genres" are for the online community...

So I can very well see a Rev Mana title in development. Whether it is this one or not, I cant say - I doubt in fact, because they released a screenshot and I doubt Nintendo wants that yet - but we'll see.

Hiroki Kikuta did the SoM soundtrack. Ito did the GB installments and a dozen other Square games.

Oh, I've only played SD2+3. Well, hopefull Hiroki Kikuta is working Seiken Densetsu 4. Did he also do Seiken Densetsu 3?

Yep, but he hasn't done anything for Square ever since.
