Yes because 6 months is definitely the worst lag we've seen in the history of consoles/handheld launches... really cockles it's like your not even trying anymore...

Yes, the time it took Nintendo to get the SNES released in Europe was far more of a crime. If the console had launched sooner it probably would have beaten the Mega Drive (Genesis) in Europe.

I hope MS has learned from this. The reason that no one has ever seriously attempted a worldwide launch before is pretty apparent. They should have buttered up the US first, Europe second and Japan sometime early next year.
