While good, i preferred Bruno. His gayness was just too good. A few of his characters in Who Is Americ were incredible as well. The disappointment was Borat 2, this one was pretty damn mediocre compared to his other stuff.

I found with Bruno he was trying too hard to offend and it didn't quite come off for me.
The old 11 o'clock show Ali G stuff was fucking genius and of course Borat. Down hill after that for me, not saying it was all bad mind definitely some laughs to be had

It was great but it unfortunately comes with a shelf life. It reached a point where he was too famous in the UK and it doesn't work as well when people are in on the joke. Going to the US allowed him to hit the reset button but the cycle repeated and he also got too famous there to keep doing it.

Nah i don't believe this one bit. Sure, if he did Ali G, it wouldn't work, but him playing another character is gonna work 100%. With all the makeup, nobody would even recognize him. And if he doesn't want to wear too much makeup, he could simply visit some redneck shithole in the middle of nowhere, and nobody would even know him there. I miss his stuff so much, nobody does it better, and he better not retire from trolling.

For a celebrity/politician, someone in their team is probably going to turn something up when they do some digging after getting the interview request or clock that it's him when he turns up or part way through the interview. For random people, you probably want to do a lot of shooting to get the best reactions and eventually someone is probably going to figure it out and blow his cover. He has talked about how he got recognised at a gun rally when filming Borat 2 under a disguise.
Maybe he could go to somewhere like China since there's a lot of potential in poking fun at their government and he wouldn't be as well known there. But it would also be a lot riskier than doing so in the UK or US.

Borat is huge, and he didn't film the second in the middle of nowhere so of course he'd get recognized. The US has so many redneck shitholes with unhinged people, if i were him, i'd aim for those towns. China would be a bad idea lol.

I'm not sure how big the series was in the US. It getting oen season does suggest you're right But I was more meaning his overall success when you include the films. It's now a lot harder for him to use that format in the UK and US than it was in the past.

Ali G was his best work, Borat 2nd, Bruno 3rd. I was excited for Who is America, and then I watched it, total trash. Sacha peaked with Ali G.
The Ali G movie was really bad, though, Borat was ok, as was Bruno. The Ali G Show on HBO and British TV was peak Sacha, I still go back to those shows and cry laughing.
