wtf? I'm dumbfounded by MATH

bah, i get it. it's a percentage game. do more than one of them without clicking on the damn thing. and it has a system where like 90 percent of them will work out to get to the same symbol.

Eh? 90%? Try 100%. Unless I'm missing something obvious, you should always get a multiple of 9 by adding the digits together and subtracting them from the original.

It's not working you fuggin chump.

This isn't WTF?!!!?!!!!!!!!?????????? worthy material.

It's worked 10 out of 10 times with me. My guess you don't know how to follow the directions or can't do math.

Eh, well i only took a quick glance at it and maybe(probably) I did the math wrong on one real quick. but the point is, i win!

I'm glad I didn't think about it at first because I was pretty amazed after 'the ball' got it right, as if it could read my thoughts. :lol

Nifty trick. I'll see if I can fool my friends with it.

it's been wrong both times, i did another number trick like this and it worked better

I AM NOT SATISFIED
How could it have been wrong??

VERY SIMPLE MATH, PEOPLE

It can't mess up, the times it messed up was when you didn't calculate it correctly. (lousy math-skills huh :p)

It's apretty cool method they're using. When you susbstract the 2 digits from your original number, it will always end up on a factor of 9. Here, let me elaborate:

10 = 1+0 = 9
11 = 1+1 = 9
12 = 1+2 = 9
13 = 1+3 = 9

Any number in the twenties will get you 18, thirties > 27, fourties > 36 etc. - And all the numbers in the table of 9 have the same symbol, tadaa :)

The formula is XY; X+Y=Z; then XY-Z. Since the higher Y is Z is equally higher, it always goes down to the same number for each second digit. 45; 4+5=9; then 45-9=36. 49; 4+9=13; then 49-13=36. The symbols are randomly generated every time and set to the number that works for each second digit.

You didn't have to go and ruin the fun did you? :) I can't believe some people can't follow the simple instructions and do the simple math. Ugggh.

^ We had our fair share of fun with it couple of years ago :)

Know of any others? I heard something about a spoon and floating icon or something. I realize that is terribly vague but that's all I know.

if the number is ab , we can represent ab as 10*a+b
10*a + b -( a + b ) = 9a

so the result will always be a factor of 9, and the symbols at the factors of 9 change everytime you try.

The symbols that represent each number change every time. Every time you click to try again, a new symbol will be placed over every multiple of 9.

Look at it. 9/18/27/36 and so on will all be identical symbols every time, and that's the one that will show up.

Ahhh. Didn't notice that the figures changed each time, that explains it. Would've been harder if the figures were the same, no? :P

Kind of a stupid title change since maynerd obviously titled it as he did for the benefit of the thread and not because he was actually stunned.
