Those designs look rather bad if you ask me. Don't like them one bit.Looks like it was just new character teases, They already revealed 4 of them on twitter/x. Looks like they're abandoning fanservice like Genshin did in Fontaine. Let's see if it pays off for them, I guess.
I'm a little underwhelmed by the designs, honestly. Sleepy horned girl is probably the only intriguing one to me. There should be a 5th revealed sometime in the next few hours.
Yea, pretty much agree. Shame too, I think Changli/Yinlin/Camellya were all really good designs. This just blends in with all of the other gachas out there as tame boring office worker type shit. Those designs look rather bad if you ask me. Don't like them one bit.

Here's the 5th one by the way, better than the others but not by much.
You can enable it even if the game doesn't "support" your hardware, but it requires some effort:Oof, not that good either. And the naming, that's a complete u-turn too. Too damn generic and blant.
Any news about them updating the CPU / GPU list? since 2.0 is coming soon?
I'm still locked out of 120 fps because my more than enough CPU didn't make the cut.
I didn't want to go that way.You can enable it even if the game doesn't "support" your hardware, but it requires some effort:
How To Enable 120 FPS In Wuthering Waves - 100% Working
This guide provides detailed steps for enabling 120 FPS in Wuthering Waves on PC.earlygame.com
I haven't seen any news about updating hardware requirements for official 120fps, but I don't have any particular reason to look for it.
This game is getting better and better and every new character feels great to play with. They only need to fix the materials and money situation. I have tons of 4* characters and weapons that I can't level up as the 5* take everything before I go broke.1.4 patch notes. Some nice changes in there.

Some of the juicier stuff (my opinion)
When I logged in, got Jainxin dupe at 70 pity, but had enough saved resources to get back to 65 where I got Camellya. Had some leftovers and bought out the 'f2p' shop stuff, managed to get her weapon in 20 pulls. I've been ridiculously lucky on the weapon banner in this game.
I absolutely HATE her EN voice. I have no idea who was directing her, it sounds fucking abysmal. Her kit is pretty fun from what I've seen in the trial though.
So we're getting 2 character skins in 2.0. Jinhsi one is paid, the Sanhua one is supposed to be free. In my opinion, they're both middling. I thought they would beat Genshin's boring skins but so far it's basically the same shit. Maybe they look better in 3D, who knows.
It's a shame too, in Kuro's other game - Punishing Gray Raven - the skins are sufficiently different and really impressive.Damn, pretty boring skins overall yeah. I wouldn't use any instead of the OG's.

Like here's the base version of a character (first image) and two of her skins.:
I use both Rover and SK in the same party, and she will mimic his lines for like her skill and ult and stuff, it's pretty cute. I find her insanely strong and when you hold attack and she turns into a butterfly, she moves like 3x as fast and picks up any material she makes contact with, without pressing any additional buttons. She also has a 3 stage Ult that can do some pretty crazy damage if you can trigger it. I've been super happy with my main team of Havoc Rover/Changli/Shorekeeper.Really cool designs overall. That OG is fire, difficult to top.
Man I'm not a fan of Shorekeeper's gameplay, but I really like her character quite a bit.
Her connection with Rover is pretty neat.
Yea her whole story was fantastic in my opinion. I loved the part where you're doing the QTE bits through the running scene, and the 'private' area with the sundown beach scene. You can talk to her at the piano afterwards to go back there whenever. When she says that she likes to stare at the sky, specially at one particular "bright rovering star"...
So I've decided to start playing WuWa now that they've confirmed cross-save between platforms instead of waiting for the PS5 release. Really, really liking it so far and I think it will become my main gacha now that I kinda got bored of ZZZ (will still do dailies and whatever important content gets added, but not much else).
As an side, I've listened to some of the OST they've posted on their YouTube channel and the stuff that's there is really fire. I especially love the Shorekeeper main theme song - An Unfinished Song ( great vocals and visuals).
Also, too bad I missed The Shopkeeper, her design is simply incredible... Anyway, hope Kuro keeps up with these peak character designs.

Yeah, I just started the game today (put around 8 hours into it), and the combat so far is easy & fun, but I know it will get more challenging as I progress further and unlock endgame activities. I just upgraded the "world tier" to level 20, so I'm now encountering tougher opponents, but it's still easy.
Game is getting really good, and combat is challeging and fun too.
Sadly the characters for the new region seem a bit less unique design wise.
On another note: holy shit, they completely made Cammelya a total sexual harasser towards Rover
Wait until you get to her story quest. Best one so far, in my opinion.
If you can tough it out through the early game and the nonsense opening story, I think you'll find a lot to like with WuWa. Combat is on another level, gacha or not.
Once you get good enough at the basics, if you wanna push yourself on the combat, you should definitely learn about "quick swap" gameplay. This is the only game I've ever played where you can basically feel like you're playing an entire team of characters manually at the same time. Certain attacks/moves can continue even after you swap to a new character, so finding those moves and using them in a sort of free-flow combat just feels amazing when it 'clicks'.
It's really hard to demo because it just looks visually confusing if you're not the one in control, but here's an example of what I mean:
I feel like that guy is just swapping whenever he can instead of using it in a sensical way, but it at least gets across the message of what's possible.
Feel free to ask any questions, and like I mentioned, don't let the first chapter story get you down, they improved it a LOT since then.
You'd be making bank as Tencent just bought a majority stake into Kuro Games, the devs behind this game, lol. It’s time to bring my best lawyer to sue their ass.

I dig all the characters I have so far. I even pulled Danjin44 (sorry for the tag bro, but I find it funny that the first character I pulled in this game is named like you ) in the beginner banner. I've leveled her up to 25, along with my female rover and the support ice lady that also heals, and I'm just doing story bits, exploring, and tackling some of the available quests that I've unlocked at this new world tier.
Yeah, I got some very mild spoilers by watching some of the Shorekeeper stuff on the Wuthering Waves YouTube channel, mainly her character backstory (that cinematic is really dope) and ofc the main theme song.
The combat is indeed very fun, easy to get the basics, but hard to master, especially with the stuff you've shown me in the video you've linked. I'm 100% sticking with this game and will practice the quick swap mechanics once I get more used to the combat flow and the characters I'll be unlocking.
I recently watched a beginner guide, so I'll be aiming to get Verina as my main support via the 5 star selector and hopefully I get Encore as my main DPS, then build this team up with some help from Prydwen builds.
I know that the story content they've added with the Shorekeeper and Camellya is very good, so I'm looking forward to that.
Btw, should I get the $10 battle pass (it kinda looks very similar to the one in ZZZ) or is the $5 lunite subscription a better deal?
I won't comment on the 5* selector, because I rarely play meta teams, but Verina does seem to be the most suggested from the standard pool, and even if you get Shorekeeper later, you will eventually need 2x supporters for the endgame modes, so it's a pretty future proof choice. The combat is indeed very fun, easy to get the basics, but hard to master, especially with the stuff you've shown me in the video you've linked. Even the part following the "launch" main story quest, where it takes you to an island, is a much better story. It's just getting through that first bit that's a chore. Exploration eventually gets better too, but it's pretty standard Genshin-tier open world stuff for the most part. At least this game has a tool that you can see every treasure chest on selected areas of the map, regardless if it's a minigame/puzzle/etc, so it's easy to 100% without looking up guides. You'll get that tool from just playing the game and hitting certain exploration %s.I know that the story content they've added with the Shorekeeper and Camellya is very good, so I'm looking forward to that.
I get both. Until recently the game was kinda stingy with character growth mats, so the BP helped a lot more overall because you will need those. They've opened up lots of mini-events the past 2 patches that shower you with those mats now, but I'm still always running out, so I still buy the BP. Lunite $5 sub is the best straight up value though, provided you log in every day to collect.Btw, should I get the $10 battle pass (it kinda looks very similar to the one in ZZZ) or is the $5 lunite subscription a better deal?

Looks like we're getting ray tracing support in 2.0. Game already looks great, can't wait to see what it looks like with RT on.
I have the Pro, but I also still have my old launch PS5 model, which I'm mainly using for gacha games.RT may be a nice gaming feature for some, but considering the load it takes on games, I much rather prefer playing my games with solid performance overall and high fps.
I'm really interested to see how good the game will look on my 65" TV.
And if I'm being honest, I hope the differences between base PS5 and Pro aren't that much .

I'm also curious to see if there's any differences, so I'll be capturing some Gathering Wives footage from both consoles once it launches in January and share it here.
Yeah, there's no PS5 Pro patch for ZZZ, but from what I've played so far on both consoles, the fps is much more stable in heavy action scenes (I was getting quite a few fps drops on some end game activities on the base PS5, but on the Pro these encounters are running silky smooth now).Don't know if Mihoyo has patched any of its games for the Pro. Still, did you noticed any differences between ZZZ on base and Pro, performance wise?
Watched both trailers in the Op and don't know what this is. Genshin Impact-like?
Dude, the traversal in this game feels so fucking good. You can even wall run or I guess in this case ladder run, lol.

Yep, I've unlocked it yesterday and did some of the minigames that uses it. Speaking of minigames, I was pleasantly surprised to find this super fun encounter where the camera perspective shifts from 3rd person to a 2D metroidvania like platformer, lol. Had a big grin on my face because I really didn't expect that.Wait until you get the grapple.
There's a minigame type that's essentially an obstacle course that they do for a few treasure chests and mini events, I really enjoy them, even if they're a bit easy by gaming standards. If they'd make a "hard mode" challenge for those, I'd have a blast.
Yea there's a few of those bits, but I don't think they were generally well received because we haven't had any more past the ones that were in the game when it launched. I'm with you though, I liked it.Yep, I've unlocked it yesterday and did some of the minigames that uses it. I'm still very early in the game, but I love all the gameplay mechanics and encounters I've discovered so far. Kuro Games are legit great devs so big props to them.
Aw, man, that sucks. There's a lot of potential there with these types of minigames, but if they didn't hit well with most of the player-base then it is what it is. Maybe they'll revisit them later on.Yea there's a few of those bits, but I don't think they were generally well received because we haven't had any more past the ones that were in the game when it launched. They could use a bit of work with the controls, but there was potential there.
I didn't know you could use the grapple that way in combat with certain characters to hit those pesky flying enemies (some of these flying creatures have kinda started to annoy me ). I'll def keep that in mind so thanks a bunch for the tip.Fun thing about grapple is that you can use it in combat, too, for characters that have strong air attacks or to hit flying enemies. Almost makes me wish it was its own button and not used in the "gadget" slot.
It could be that devs are just crunched the past few months. The consensus at the launch of the game was less than stellar so they've been working really hard to turns things around. If you were there when the shit was going down, they gave a ton of apology compensations, but I'm not sure how many of those you get from starting now. 2.0 has been worked on in the background for a long time while they produced the higher quality content in the last few patches, so I'm expecting 2.0 to be a pretty big improvement, game-wide. Maybe they worked on the 2d platformer stuff and made it better and have some new stuff coming for us. Regardless, there are some great platforming sections that maintain the default perspective that you'll still run into, and I think they're done really well too.Aw, man, that sucks. Yeah, I've heard about the tech issues during the launch window (things were bad especially on mobile), but it looks like most of the bugs have been ironed out by now (I'm going to try the mobile version in a bit on my Samsung Galaxy S23 to see how well it runs). As for the patch 2.0, it sounds really promising and I'm looking forward to it, since it also means I'll be able to play the game on my main platform of choice, which is PS5.It could be that devs are just crunched the past few months. Now that they have Tencent money behind them, they might be able to really take off. I'm pretty excited, provided that awful Tencent monetization doesn't weasel its way into the game.
I started noticing problems with the motion blur a few weeks ago, don't remember what prompted it, but I shut it off too, and haven't looked back.Quick question: I just noticed motion blur causes some artifacts around characters if you rotate the camera at high speed.
Anyone experiences the same?
I don't have any upscaler turned on, so I find it odd it reproduces such artifacts.
Then again, I turned motion blur off and now they are gone.
