Just a reminder. Anyone else plan on watching this? I’ll be watching it tonight as I actually enjoyed Wonder Woman (prob the only recent DC film worth watching)

Hard pass. First film was annoyingly bad and the trailers I saw for this one shows me nothing to make me think this isn’t following suit. Which is sad as the girl playing WW is horribly attractive. But hey if this is your ship, have a nice voyage!

What the hell happened....That was Amazing Spider-man 2 levels of messy. But this made ASM2 look like the Dark Knight.

It feels like a completely different director and writers trying to capitalize on WW and had no idea what made the first movie good. And I say that as anemone who doesn't love the first movie at all but you can clearly see why people like it.

20 min in and my eyes hurt from rolling into the back of my head.

Its predictable already and just feels lifeless, another factory line superX movie.

Rewatched the first one just now on my tablet at work and will watch 84 later when I'm home on the big screen. Looking forward to it although I'm slightly worried by the reactions I saw so far.

It's been getting alright reviews and has a decent user rating. But I've seen a lot of my friends say it's bad also. What's wrong with it?

That was cringe incarnate. Legit nothing could have saved this movie. And Lynda Carter at the end? Im sorry but what? Like... WTF ?

Plenty happens. It's a good, eventful movie. To say that nothing happens in it is bollocks.
Some people need Michael Bay level action to enjoy a movie

it’s why transformers keep bringing in so much $$$

I personally hate those films, but to each his own

Jesus, that was fucking awful. No wonder they didn't want to release it.

I don't get what's so awful about it. It's cheesy and hokey, but those qualities are presented in a tasteful and appropriate way. It's got cool, light-hearted action as well as intense and suspenseful action. Also, it has an aesthetic that makes it actually look as if it were shot in the 1980s, which is also cool. Finally, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig are terrific in their roles; they both do a good job of conveying persistence and desperation. I enjoyed this movie and will watch it again.

It was the most basic premise I have seen in one of these movies and SO predictable. literal 3/10 movie.

Here...
Intro showing young super hero - Check
Useless attention grabbing opening scene set in present times with too much comedy - Check
Entirely useless time period setting involving 80's nostalgia - Check
Little black girl sees superhero and gets a wink - Check
Ditsy clumsy woman that is so poorly written and over acted it was seemingly made by a middle school child - Check
Deus Ex device that serves no real purpose or has no real involvement with the plot - Check
A brain dead quip every 10 minutes - Check
Hans Zimmer music that sounds like every single other fucking score ever - Check
Love plot that serves zero purpose in the movie - Check
.....There is so much shit in this movie that was only like the first 30 min. Nothing of interest happened until the last 15 min. Pure trite and filler to make a Christmas buck. Sad.

I really liked the first one and thought it was among the better comic book movies.

This one was just okay though. Not offensive or really that memorable. Just kinda exists.

Glad you enjoyed it, I thought when compared to the frankly superb first one, it was an absolutely reductive experience with plot holes and convenient instances you could fly a 747 through, and I won't be entertaining watching a third installment should it happen.

I wouldn't call saving kids in the street playing ball from trucks racing towards them as intense or light hearted. It's pathetically boring and univentive.

Wonder Woman saving two Arab children is going to go over real well with the crowd who like to claim Gal Gadot is a baby killer.

Haha I kinda hate that that took me out of the movie too. Immediately thought of the Arab-Israeli conflicts and how that would be perceived.

Thoroughly mediocre movie. But still fun.

+ Bruce Almighty as a bad guy is actually a cool concept.
+ Kristen Wiig is fucking spicy for 47. Hot mama. That workout scene my goodness.
+ Chris Pine as wholesome as ever. He makes even the most mediocre of movies better.

Otherwise its skippable. Not horrible. Just...ok.

It‘s basically Superman II.

My wife and I are really looking forward to checking this out tonight. We both love the first one so I’m anticipating good things from this one as well. I don’t put too much stock in reviews and prefer to form my own opinion.

Felt more like the Thor 2 Dark World of the DC verse to me haha its that one in the future everyone will acknowledge as canon and still watch but is generally regarded as lesser.

Nah, it's Superman II both in tone and one of the major elements of the plot and how that is revealed, shown, and resolved.

Superman II:
Clark gives up his powers for Lois.
Gets his ass kicked.
Gets his powers back to save the day.

WW84:
Diana loses her powers for Steve.
Gets her ass kicked.
Gets her powers back to save the day.

Let me start by saying I loved the first one. But I’m halfway through this and it’s pretty fucking boring. Bringing back pine was kinda dumb

Kristin wiig is basically playing Michelle pfiefer from Batman

I heard Diana has sex with the body of a stranger, that has been possessed by her dead ex-boyfriend, without his consent. Hot.
