Depends on the culture. There are some where not seeing hte eyes is a legit issue - but I also agree that it is kind of pointless and not really needed for the majority of the world.

The showing your eyes through is actually good, imo.

But if they are really just trying to sell this on AR features..... It aint there.
No one is wearing these scuba goggles all day

Seems like they've thought of everything.

If Apple Vision Pro doesn't usher along mainstream VR adoption, I don't know if anything will.

I'm still not sold on AR/VR as a concept, personally.

why would i not do all these things with a 2d screen?
48" oled in my face?
Yeah.... I sold my quest... yeah psvr2 was not that impressive probably because of that :P

True.... but I did most of the thing they are advertising on quest and other headsets. just worse. I dont see the point

The AR is basically a hololens

But it probably works... because its not Microsoft

Hated the pinch motion on HoloLens. This seems, at least in the video, to be a lot better.

Design looks terrible, but it's the first iteration, so let's hope early adopters make it worth for Apple to invest into new models. The cable though …

That last line is exactly the same thing you could've said about the iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Airpods, etc.. etc..

That's kind of Apple's whole thing. They arrive late to a product category and then do it better than everyone else.

Without price it is hard to say if they thought of everything. If it is more expensive than 1000$ it will never become mainstream. It is not a macbook or iphone - all the demonstration is about solving the problems that do not really exist for now.
