holy shit they use shotguns and 6 shooters in japanese wrestling?? genius.

though that one fat guy shooting the pistol probably should pay a bit more attention to where he is shooting.. he has quite a dumb look on his face like he doesnt know a bullet is currently ejaculating from his pistol.

Oooo, I want to see "crazed japanese baseball-fan" wrestle.

At least thats what the guy in the lower left holding the yellow thing in the second poster looks like.

Alright, I just realized that some of this stuff already took place. Where can I find results, maybe even videoes? What's a good source for keeping track of stuff in Japanese wrestling anyway?

Supposedly, Hustle tapes and information are hard to come by. They're owned by DSE who also own Pride. There's something involving distribution rights that prevent people selling the tapes over here.

As far as I can tell, Hustle is an attempt to inject WWE-style angles into puroresu. It's roster includes an odd combination of wrestlers from smaller organizations, MMA guys like Mark Coleman, and American "wrestlers" like Rikishi. The people at the www.DeathValleyDriver.com forums discuss it on occasion. Some videos are also posted occasionally.

Here are some pictures of Rikishi doing the "Hustle"(some ridiculous dance created by Naoya Ogawa as far as I can tell) that I found at the Sherdog forums.

I thought the middle guy (Undertaker) was Rhyno until I realized they would never put that loser on a cover.

I just got a best of Low-Ki in Japan tape and I cant stand Japanese wrestling. The Crowds are deathly silent and i just find it very disturbing hearing every little grunt and breath the wrestlers take.

I like this one.

There was also one I had on a lunchbox as a kid, saw it over the summer. I remember Hogan, Warrior, Savage, Flair and some others on it. Wonder if I could find.

They make noise toward the end of the match is worked well.

I don't really prefer the Japanese crowd over and American one but I'm not really bothered by it either. It's just different. It's not like they're bored or anything...they're just respectful. I mean, you'll never hear a Japanese crowd chant "asshole" at Chono. Plus, it's always entertained me how abrupt Japanese applause ends. No one wants to be the last person clapping. It's too funny.

Well it bothers me. I could really care less if they are bored or not I just want some noise. The announcers dont help much either cuz they hardly say anything and its usually in a really low voice. Doesnt matter who is wrestling it still ruins the experience.

Hm, to each his own I guess. You're the first person I've ever heard complain about this though.

Prolly cuz most wrestling fans like to hear the sounds two grapplers grunting ang groaning. :D

Personally, I've always preferred the sounds of sweaty flesh slapping together. ;)

I like that, even though Chyna is on the poster, it says 30 Men, every man for himself :lol

Man, WWF PPVs, especially Royal Rumbles and Survivor Series used to rule so much back in the day. I remember before the Royal Rumble they went through all the participants in no specific order and they cut brief promo saying they were gonna win the Rumble.

I was watching Survivor Series '89 the other night and every participant had a few seconds to say what they were thankful for in Thanksgiving, and out comes Dibiase saying "I'm thankful because I'm rich and you're not!!" *Million Dollar Man laughter*.

You're just too used to the pre-recorded, canned crowd cheers WWE uses.

Maybe, but I have given up on the WWE for now. I'm pretty much wasting my money on Ring of Honor DVDs at the moment.....but really 2 ROH DVDs a month is pretty equal to one PPV. I have tickets to their show in Chicago on 10/16. Mick Foley is gonna be there(but no Low-Ki) but their next show Jushin Liger is gonna be there. I feel ripped off!
