Just found out I could get on XBL without a HDD (I'd assumed otherwise), so went to set up a Silver acct. only to find that even with my Retard Pack MS had kindly given me a free months Gold. Score!

Bearing in mind I never bothered with XBL on the original Xbox, I sign in, and fuck me is XBL impressive, not what I expected, the whole package rocks.

It even caused me to ignore the pain and damage I was causing my wrist by playing before it's fully healed and run a few rounds of RR6. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!! (But ouch, can't do that again for a week or two.)

Now I can't wait to get a HDD.

You're better off with recreational. People assume things about you if you choose the Underground label, as it is mostly assosciated with the worst of the worst. Really good pickup on RR6, I guess you have to be a Ridge Racer fan to appreciate it, but I thought playing a Ridge Racer game online with a bunch of other people was fun. It actually helps the community for that game is small, mostly long time fans of the series.

Not so many rank obsessed attention whores. Though still at the end of some races sour grapes racers will start dropping out. I love the XBL setup overall, I'm always connected when I play on the 360 so I can get a friend invite. (whether it's for a 360 title like RR and DOA4, or Halo 2) They have alot of classic racing music up for sale on the marketplace under RR6 downloads btw, no Samurai Rocket just yet, but a good selection all the same.

I have to admit that the 360 live is a godsend. I haven't gotten a 360 yet, but I have played around with it over at a friend's house. I was surprised as hell, especially because I hated the original Xbox live with a passion.

It has pretty much convinced me to get one.

I totally agree, I only went online with Halo 2 with the original xbox but my heart wasnt in it really... I love playing DOA4 against humans any time i like, and XBLA is wicked.

I want to ask, does anyone know how to turn off a pass code on your live account? I put a password on it when I was playing around with all the settings and its really shitty having to manualy type that password in each time I turn on my 360...

I just grabbed Geometry Wars on recommendation, and worthy too, damn fast and fun but it's not gonna see much play until my arms healed, RR6 I can almost play one-handed, GW I can't.
