Okay what is the best way to save all my data to transfer it to a new Xbox? My Xbox is getting a little old and I don't want to lose progress in my games. Is it possible that the Xbox could die and The memory on the HD could still be saved? I'm thinking I just get a memory card right? How much do those run for?

I'm sure you could just use a crossover cable to system link the systems.

I haven't bought a new Xbox yet, but I was worried that if my current one went bad there'd be no way to rescue save data, so I was just going to do it now before any problem occurs. Thansk for the reply

You can't transfer save data via system link cable unfortunately. Memory card is the only way to go, and many games don't support it.

As we all know softmodding an xbox to access the HDD is so incredibly hard...................

mod the system, and FTP your HD contents over to your PC. Burn it off on disc.

Speaking of modding though, could you fill me in as to what needs to be fone to softmod? I've got a chip in my system, but I'm thnking of softmodding a friends if possible.

Yeah, I would say memory card but it sucks that you can't transfer a lot of games (including good ones like Burnout 3, Ninja Gaiden, and Psychonauts)

Try having two GOLDS short of completition in PGR and having your Xbox die on you. Its one of the worst things to happen gamewise. When I got another Xbox I instantly bought a memory card,I don't want to go through that shit again. I'll be buying a memory card to back up my files for PGR3 incase the hardrive dies on me too.
