is this even possible? I have a friend who lives in Turkey and wants to get on xbox live, but xbox is not officially sold there (due to extreme amounts of piracy, I guess), but how would the billing work? Can he still be subscribed to live via his credit card? anybody have any experience if that is possible? he does have ADSL.

When Xbox Live wasn't available in Mexico I used my mexican CC (Visa) and a valid US address and it worked fine. No problems with the bills either.

Yeah I did the same (used Swedish address for my Finnish CC). I'm not sure if it was actually a Swedish address as a whole or only a Swedish zip code with my Finnish address...
