What's known about how the update to Xbox Live will affect the current Xbox? Will the current Xbox have some new features in it's Live functionality?

I won't be getting a 360 for some time probably, and am hoping that the current Xbox benefits from the service upgrade, as it is one network, servicing both consoles...

Also, is it incorrect to assume that you'll be able to go online with your gamertag over the internet, whether or not you have a 360, and choose pics and whatnot?

I understand lots of the new features will be available on only the 360...but I would hope there is some crossover. They're not doing anything on the 360 that they couldn't do with an upgrade to the current Xbox's system.

Anyway, any light shed is appreciated!

I wonder this too. The update on xbox.com makes it sound like if you've tied your Gamertag to a Passport account, you'll automatically have a Gamercard once the system updates on the 24th whether you get a 360 or not. Will the card be different if you're still on XB1? Sure it won't list achievements but what about a Gamerzone or playing "rating"? Will you have the ability to change your Gamertag on XB1 like you can on 360?

Guess we find out on the 24th.
