Xbox One- what would it take to get YOU to buy one ?

Okay.

--Microsoft would have to come out with several high-profile must-buy exclusives for the Xbox One. I'm talking shit on the same level as when Halo first came out, or at least a few games that are as good as Scalebound BloodBorne are probably going to be. Microsoft would probably have to trolley out a first party lineup on par with what we're seeing right now from Nintendo on the Wiii U and 3DS. That probably means like half a dozen new IPs.

--They would have to make Xbox Live, as a service, truly reach the next level. I mean seriously make it competitive with Steam: good prices, more social features, more multiplayer features that are the same or better than what I can get on PC.

While I already have an Xbox One (and PS4 for that matter) the same factor has driven a console purchase for every gen where I have personally bought my own systems (starting with the SNES gen); games.

It really is that simple.

I think that ship has sailed.

As someone who was a huge fan of Xbox 360, I no longer believe MS brings much good to the industry.

Aesthetically - it needs a complete redesign (IMO). The console is very large compared to the PS4 while less powerful - that definitely says something. I could see a small form factor (along with a further price reduction) increase demand.

Exclusive Elder Scrolls 6
Exclusive Knights of the Old Republic 3
Exclusive Shenmue 3

I'm still on the fence. All my adult working friends with kids, like myself, have XB1. I always switch back and forth with which console I want to go with this gen.

Love PS4 but all my friends are on XB1....decisions.

I need to game with more working adults with kids. That way when I sigh and say 'I gotta go...' everyone gets it.

Some good exclusives would be great. Sunset Overdrive and Halo MCC seem pretty slick but not enough to justify the purchase for me. If the price ever dropped to $299 I would be pretty keen on it as well.

Another consideration for me would be a form factor revision. As it stands currently I'm lacking for space for an XB1. I'm sure if I had one I could improvise a solution but it is a consideration for sure.

All of that being said if they really do add their games to the PC space, I don't think I'd buy an XB1.

I was thinking of getting one for Sunset Overdrive but there are far too many games out for the next 6 months to even consider it.

Microsoft's name not being in it.
similar for me, except Xbox...I actually want a Surface 3 and I generally like there OS.

But not feeling there presence in the industry, not liking at all for the past 4 years in fact, what they bring to the table.

So I guess it would take MS releasing a number of highly rated innovative in-house exclusive that set new trends in gaming.

Other than that, won't touch an Xbox...
