So Xbox and Samsung have had a partnership for a while now and news a little while ago with the reveal of the S20 Galaxy Phone that they're taking things further. A bit of background here on the Verge
So I just pre-ordered a S20 Plus 5G and one of the callout features of the S20 line is 120hz refresh rate. It makes me wonder how deep this collaboration has been with Xbox as they're both certainly calling out the 120hz feature. With 5g I'd be capable of streaming (I believe) up to 8k at 120hz so there's plenty of bandwidth on the S20 5G phone to get 120hz game streaming happening.. And really well. I'm wondering whether they've co-collaborated to integrate this properly with the Xbox for the best mobile streaming experience and whether this works natively on the console doing the processing or whether it gets pushed out at 120hz straight from the XCloud. It's a type of collaboration that would make good sense for each company to tap into each other's existing loyalty base to sell more shit.
Either way I got the 5G variant in case this all turns out to be the case and I expect/hope the streaming experience is going to be miles ahead of the crappy experience with PS4 remote play - which really just feels like the tech just isn't there yet.
