Since I can't afford a proper surround setup I am planning to get one of these to enjoy surround sound gaming.. Is it just enough to buy the headphones , or what else do I need to get this thing to work? Do I need a receiver?
Dude, you can get cheapo (but still baseline OK) receiver/DVD player/5.1 systems for less than $100 nowadays. If you live next to a Fry's, I'd check them out... they have them on sale all the time.
The problem is already have a quite decent stereo, so having a 5.1 system on top of that would take up too much space + would be a little redundant.. But thanks for the advice anyway, seems I"ll be stuck with stereo for a while.
Well, I think getting 5.1 (at least) is worth it...you could always thread the Stereo out to the receiver and stack it on top... 5.1 is worth it...especially on XBOX.
