Xbox US release schedule (8/01 - 12/31)

I'm not sure if Outrun 2 is listed there but that is the one game I want more than any other for xbox. It's odd, really. I'd guess, if I was another guessing on the me that is not me, that I'd be more excited about Fable or Halo 2. However, I'm not. I want Outrun 2.
Don't ask me why. I'm not altogether sure. I might even go as far as saying I'm more interested in Outrun 2 than I am Gran Turismo 4. Again this flies in the face of conventional wisdom. Maybe I'm cracking up. Really I just want some games that are fun.
Ninja Gaiden was fun. JSRF was fun. Panzer Dragoon was fun. I bet Outrun 2 will be fun.
Here's another wild and not too chin scratchy declarative sentence. Halo 2 will be fun. Fable will waste a lot of one's time and be less fun.

When the heck did Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders get pushed back!!! It was supposed to be in store on my birthday (8/11)?! Oh man, that is a real bummer, now it's going to conflict with Burnout 3!! :(

I guess I'm not surprised. I guess it wasn't really news as much as it was just assumed it would slip. When did they push it to?

I am looking forwad to NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup since its going to be on live. There is nothing compared to racing with 43 other drivers online.

Is Outrun 2 going to be worth $40?

I was a big huge fan of Outrun in the arcades many years ago... but if Outrun 2 (xbox) is a straight port of the arcade version of Outrun 2, and therefore probably very short, I don't know if I really want to throw down $40 for it.

It's going to have extra paths, downloadable content, and high score posting. Might not be enough for some to pay $40. $30 would have been better.

Updated sales listing.

Halo 2 and Blinx 2 on the same day??!

Decisions, decisions... :p

All in all, Xbox is leaving 2004 with a bang - I'm going to be so poor.

I'm just amazed by all these war games. There's so many of 'em I'm taking off the list that I wonder if any will be good. It's almost like they cancel each other out. As if there are to many for me to consider any one of them individually.

Hopefully a lot of these games will get delayed because this is what I plan to buy:

August: Nothing

September: Fable, Burnout 3, SW Battlefront, DOA Ultimate

October: MK Deception, Outrun 2, Doom 3

November: Halo 2, Splinter Cell 3, Ghost Recon 2, Call of Duty: Finest Hour

December: SW KOTOR 2, Conker, Mech Assault 2

It's great to see there are finally more games coming out with Xbox Live support than games without XBL support. Almost every game has XBL support now.

I buy about 6 games every winter for Xbox, so I really need some delays.

Um guys Battlefront DOES support 32 for the Xbox Live setup.. not 16. so getting good fights going shouldnt be a problem.

Last I heard, Xbox and PS2 would support 16 people online w/16 bots, making for 32 total. On the other hand, the PC will do 32 people w/32 bots, for a total of 64 players.

Can you confirm that? I had always heard 16 on XBL, but 32 on lan using link.

I updated this again. i know most of us just blew a bunch of money in the last few weeks (personally I got ESPN 2K5, Fable, Battlefront [PC & Xbox], Burnout 3) and need to plan for the Holiday months.

Should be a little easier now with SC3 off the radar. As far as I'm concerned, DOOM III is still very questionable for this year. Of course some titles have shown some polish lately like Outrun 2 and Otogi 2. Others have fallen slightly from the radar like KUF.
