XBox360 Live Questions

Hey all. Just got my 360 yesterday and I'm lovin it.

Quick questions

What's the difference between the Silver and Gold? I signed up for the Silver yesterday. Will I be able to buy XBLA games? Can I play them online?

Let's say I want to upgrade to Gold. Do I have to go to the store to buy the kit or can I do it though my 360?

What comes in the kit?

Thanks in advanced!

I have a Live question as well.. what's the easiest way to use my Live gamertag at someone else's house? When my friend was here he did that "Recover Gamertag from Live" thingy, and while that worked, his system was all kinds of messed up when he tried using it at home again.. (he did get it working OK after a while though).

I was about to try the same thing, but noticed it said something about erasing all save information, so I decided not to. :lol

Do I need to have a memory card? Or do I need to just drag my entire hard drive over there?

Dude, just pony up the 50 bucks is what I say. Live Gold is great. Don't let anyone tell you any different.

Unless you are "really" strapped for cash, I wouldn't get Live Gold. But how could you be that strapped if you bought a 360 already anyhow ;) :D

Just make sure you pick up that 12+1 month card for $50 from retail stores. A great deal. And it would be good to have a USB keyboard handy so you don't have to click in that 24 number keycode from your controller.
