Have any of you noticed any missing HD space on you XSX?

My 1 TB internal has 802gb usable space. I have 627gb used (games and apps) and it says only 70.5gb free. That is a discrepancy of a bit over 100gb. I checked out any DLC. That is about 15gb. Pictures and videos are less than 1gb.

So where is the remaining 80+ gb?

Quick resume uses up alot of space, I don't know if they get deleted if more space is required.

Does the Xbox not reserve drive space, for open or suspended games and apps ?

This can vary on the ps5. But a chunk is always in use when I have looked

reserved space. If I remember correctly the captures will reserve a specific amount to and if u hit that limit it will tell u to delete stuff.

Is there a place to see that space other than just removing the 'quick resume' icons from that tab? Still, 80gb for QR seems high.

If I remember correctly, quick resume is apart of the initial storage reservation, that ends with him having 802Gb of usable space. E Evil Calvin It may be tired to reserved space for OS and software updates.

I'm not a quick resume expert but the Series X has 16GB of RAM. Since it can store multiple QRs for several games, they might add up.

Reserved space for caching, quick resume for multiple games, download cache for os updates, and cache space for gas as you you them or boot a new game.

I'm not positive if this is reported as "used" space or not, but do you have (any modern) Call of duty installed? I know that game uses reserved space. You can check it out by going to CoD > Manage game > Saved games. Again, I'm not sure if this is reported/included as used space. But you can delete it and see if it changes or not, it'll just get reallocated on the next launch of the game.

Both Xbox and PS reserve a portion of the SSD space for system usage. You're not getting the full spec for storage.

As mentioned, some games have "reserved space", for my CoD install it's like 50GB.

Well that would be only 700gb usable out of 1TB. I get the 200gb is used for OS but still leaves 100gb unaccounted for

I didn’t realize how good the PS5 file compression made things until I bought an Xbox and saw the larger install sizes.
