Ok, they are probably a big waste of money, but you have to admit they look cool. I'm almost tempted to get one... but I'd have to see some reviews first. =P

Mousepads are like screensavers. Noone really needs em now, but people still have em.

Mousepads will generally keep the underside of your mice cleaner, like the 'feet' on my optical get dirt stuck on over the months from my desk, just like dust and stuff. But yeah agreed, still no real point in a mousepad.

Bingo. Buy a func pad and get an extra 5 frags per round. Your tabletop is not going to do that for you.

I use the tabletop and you get crud over it eventually. So a pad doesn't just keep your mouse cleaner, it keeps your table crudless too.

When I did just use my mouse on my wood desk, it wore off all the laminate wood finish... But maybe thats just because it is a relatively cheap desk.

I have a mouserug. It's awesome. Makes the office look much better.
