Your dream games that will NEVER happen?

Just thought how extremely cool it would be to have a NAMCO developed weapons based fighter on the PS3 using the Final Fantasy license; so something of Soul Calibur quality, but with all the various past and present FF heroes, including the new versions of Cloud and Tifa and what not :O

... I can imagine :(

a new Herzog Zwei - a true Phantasy Star 5 -

arcade sequels to Altered Beast and Magician Lord

a new 2D sprite R-Type

Why wouldn't this happen?

And why the hell are we mentioning sequels? spin offs fine, but the games already happened! No need for +1 iterations of a concept that's been done.

... well if we're going along the lines of sequels and iterations that will probably never happen again, that I'd want to see anyway...

Syndicate3, Freespace 3 and Fallout 3... Elite 4 would also be good. Actually the latter two have been talked about on occasion, but nothing really concrete has been said about them.

Also a worthy sequel to Mechwarrior 2, featuring the clans; on a PS3 caliber machine + steel battalion controllers.

A sequel to either Dropship: UPF or Cannon Fodder.

btw, who owns the Cannon Fodder series now?

And what exactly does a gay male want to play that isn't already on the market?

Something along the lines of Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball: Ein, Ryu, Jan & pals Edition*

I do have to add that this was one of best fan service SEGA ever did and would love for them to do it again :

A true console sequel to Castlevania SOTN. 2d/3d mix with next generation graphics.

If they had made this game in 2003, it would have sold better than Lament of Innocence.

Aside from imaginary fabulous games, I prefer listing games modelled on past experiences.

First off a new 2D-style Castlevania with Alucard (SotN style) mixing hi-res sprites and massive 3d elements, especially for backgrounds.

A new Turrican modelled on the first two for C64 and Amiga (where exploration had the same pivotal importance as shooting), side scrolling or better yet as an FPS.

A new fantasy RPG with the gloomy, epic feel of FF VII, the emotional depth of Xenogears and sub quest creativity of Final Fantasy VI.

A new side scrolling shoot'em up pushing next-generation graphics to the max.

A Wonderboy in Monsterland remake :)

That is all.

The rumored sequel of Planescape:Torment, starring Fall from Grace.
A remake or a new Baldurs Gate using the TOEE engine.
A new X-Com using the Silent Storm engine.
Freespace 3.
Sam & Max 2.
Gabriel Knight 4.
Quest for Glory 6, without the suckage of the 5th one.
A new adventure game starring Indy Jones.
An adventure game about Superman or Spiderman, that doesn't suck.

Super Mario RPG 2 with original cast of characters, plus a Team Sega, Team Konami, Team Namco, Team Square-esque cast of characters.

Squaresoft (screw Enix) developed, Suikoden 108character-style with Nintendo producing for the mario charm.

A new Jet Set Radio and a new ShenMue. A Jet Set Radio for the DS that would look like the dreamcast game, but you can spray graffitis with the stylus.

A game where you can design your own car and then race it. Maybe like an add-on to GT5. Blu-ray should have enough capacity for it.

You make sketches of the front, rear, etc views in 2d, the game then turns it into a 3d model. Or take an existing car and change the design as you like. That should be bloody sweet.

Blaster Master- nextgen
Shenmue series remade-nextgen
Shenmue 3
Power Stone 3
Chrono Trigger remake!!!

Doesn't Sega GT 2002 let you do this? Or was it Sega GT for Dreamcast?

Hmm....I checked; you're right. :) How extensive was it, though? I'd really like one that almost seems like a simplified design software for car designers......

An online/offline 3d wrestling game with -

awesome gameplay mechanics(somewhere between AKI, Giant Gram and Firepro would be good).

A strong single player mode which would take into account all of the things listed below.

Managing a company (you can still control individual wrestlers if you want), building it from the indies through to WWF sized corporation. In this mode you would have to create your own stories and stars and build them up in your own small terriitory or buy some from rival companies (their would be many, many of them). From here you will have to build your core audience then try to break out into other terriories, get a tv time slot etc. Advertising, paying for ring rental (before you buy one), paying for the building fees and the wrestlers saleries etc. would all have to be managed and payed for with the money you get from merchandice (keeping a strong popular face can increase this) and house ticket sales and concessions. People would also be able to watch these shows online like a tv show, everyones shows would be tabulated in a database and ranked (differently than the single player ranking) in order by what is the most watched and which promotions are starting to get really popular.

Create a match, tornament, promotion etc. This can be put online and played through by anyone. for example, if you put your promotion online you can actually have people join your promotion online and if they are popular you will actually have to pay them (in game fantasy money of course....unless....) to keep coming back to your show, other peoples shows will also be able to steal away these characters if you don't keep them happy or really piss them off.

A create a character mode (as well as arenas, logos etc)that would allow you to import your own sounds/art/models/music/AI/move and character animations with the option to submit them to an online database that can be accessed through the game and downloaded by anyone to play with.

A mode that would follow the way you've been playing and learn your play style, this character can then be put online into tournaments and you can battle your trained AI character against other AI characters. People would also be able to watch these online.

I hope that makes sense cause i'm half asleep right now.

Oh and the game does not have to be licenced, i barely watch wrestling these days but I still love the sport just not what is shown on tv anymore.

Elite IV - Not going to happen unless it's rebadged as "Wallace and Grommett and the Space Penguins"

Autoduel II - I'm just not that lucky.

Buggaboo The Flea - A 3D sequel. - I seem to be the only living person who remembers this, and even if a dev somewhere remembered it I can imagine the publishers reaction to the pitch..."A flea, jumping his way out of reach from a dragonfly? are you fucking Japanese or something?...Get out!"

Grand Prix Legends II (1976) - 5000 copies of this game were sold in it's first 6 months, like any publisher is gonna touch that one :(
(Ironically, since release it has now sold over an estimated 50-80,000+ since hitting budget, and still has an active racing community.)

1. Street Fighter Zero 2 remake
2. Street Fighter IV
3. Shenmue 3
4. Super Metroid Remake
5. JSR 2
6. PLOK 2 !
7. New 2D Final Fight.
8. New Parodius

Neither will happen. ;_;

Yeah, these are pretty much my dream games too. Rogue Galaxy will probably be our best hope for something close to both games, though.
