I have almost ToS, and I thought I would reflect on the party members of this game. These are my opinions of course.


Fav party characters

1. Kratos (too bad he isn't a full party member)
2. Zelos (This guy is funny!)
3. Sheena (love it when she gets mad at zelos)
4. Lloyd (kickass sometimes, and annoying others)
5. Regal (very serious character)
6. Genis (well, can be annoying, but he is allright)
7. Colette (overenthuastic. Loves everything and everyone)
8. Raine (hated her in the begining of the game, but she got better)
9. Presea (Just no. She sucks. She doesn't fit in imo)

Party characters based on strengt (imo)

1. Lloyd (weak in the begining, but in the end the strongest of them all)
2. Genis (very strong with magic + great combo with Raine)
3. Raine ((very strong with magic + great combo with Genis)
4. Zelos (very good allround character)
5. Presea (her ex skills and techs are good for frontline battle)
6. Colette (has some usefull attacks, etc judgement)
7. Regal (has good frontline attacks, didn't use him alot)
8. Sheena (good when she goes overlimit. Too bad she usually dont. Didn't use her alot)

I don't see the problem with Sheena's voice in that sense. The game sticks her people in an obviously Japanese motif, however it's not our planet. To expect her to have an Asian accent by default seems rather weird considering they speak the same language as everyone else in the game.

My favorite character is probably... Zelos.

Hands down, it's Zelos Wilder. Sweet talking 6 year-old girls into getting money/items is priceless.

I hate it when Japanese stick their culture into contexts that doesn't belong. Mizuho stuck out like a sore thumb -- so out of place and so forceably inserted. OMG, there's humans, elves, half-elves, and Japanese.

...

I think backstory-wise (not saying much), Presea is the most well done.

I thought Prasea's voice was alright, not as good as some of the others, but least it was consistant, something I thought Lloyd and Collet lacked. Was surprised when I found Prasea's voice actress the same person who did Rikku in FFX/FFX-2.

Sheena's the same person who did Naomi in Metal Gear Solid.

Kratos is Liquid Snake, wasn't too surprised to learn that.

Sheena is voiced by Jennifer Hale who's done a lot, like Elena in Grandia 2 (alongside Cam Clarke who voiced Ryudo) and Alexandra Roivas in Eternal Darkness (again, alongside Cam Clarke who voiced Anthony and the Custodian).

On the subject of characters, for the playables I liked Lloyd, Zelos, Sheena and Raine. For NPC's I liked Mithos, Yuan and the 5 Grand Cardinals.

Did they ever mention in the game who were the other 2 Seraphim besides Yuan and Kratos?

I believe Mithos and Martel were considered the other two.

Yggdrasil was the overlord, so I thought he was excluded, and Martel too, because she was comatose (lacking a body).

None of 'em -- they're all totally hateful anime cliches. Colette being retarded is kinda funny, though. Tales of Destiny probably had the most likeable characters in the series, and Farah from Eternia was probably the best developed. No Tales characters are gonna win any prizes, though; they all dredge the very bottom of the anime cliche barrel, and how.

I guess if I had to pick from Symphonia's suckass cast, though, I'd go with Colette, just because she's dumb as dirt and proud of it. Of course, Stahn in Destiny did the bumpkin act vastly better, despite being in the crappier game.

Party Voice characters

1. Lloyd- Scott Menville did a great job. Nailed the right emotions at the right times, best voice job of the whole game.
2. Zelos- Shiloh Strong does a great job too, but only barely misses the bar Scott set.
3. Sheena- Jennifer Hale's pretty good at the cute girls who can kick ass (she was also Prier from La Pucelle), and I liked the job she did with Sheena, even if there is no accent
4. Regal- Good work, fits the character.
5. Genis- Kinda generic, but it's still above average.
6. Raine- Okay, not great.
7. Presea- Okay, not great (Tara Strong is capable of better, but there wasn't much to work with with Presea)
8. Kratos- Cam Clarke is capable of better. I don't know why Kratos sounded so damn bored all the time.
9. Colette- DIE COLETTE, DIE

I love Colette! She's is so cute and sympatic. I like everything about. She is directly followed by Genis and Zelos. Sheena's also great.

It was definitely not Tara Strong's (Presea) best performance. That honor goes to a tie between Rikku and Bubbles (Powerpuff girls). But Isuppose she did nail the character Presea, as Anihawk summed it up nicely.

Everyone else was fine. Lines were either hit or miss, mainly a hit though. I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Hale, I enjoyed listening to her character.

I haven't finished the game yet, about 30 hours in, I normally use

Lloyd
Genis
Presea (sometimes Sheena) still experimenting
Raine (for healing) during bosses, or switch her for for Zelos.

Some of the skits are great, especially the Sheena/Zelos ones, never get tired of seeing him get rejected.

I really love all the characters... and well... everything about the game. =) Still totally obsessed with it at this point.

Lloyd, Regal, and Zelos are probably my favorite characters overall.

Though I don't necessarily dislike them, my least favorite characters are Genis and Presea. Couldn't really get into them as much as the others.

Gotta be Sheena... I love how she's just like "This is... disappointing" at the start of some battles, and I love how she's the only girl to tell off pimp-daddy Zelos. Zelos has some great lines, but his shtick gets annoying. I can't stand Genis, whenever I see his name I think Penis... Raine is cool too, I like her whole domme act (when she spanks Genis and shit)... I like Regal, he's pretty serious and it's a good contrast to all the other characters, plus I like his fighting style. I don't like Colette at all, she's too much of a "sheep" at the beginning of the game, and she sucks in battle.

Sheena is my favorite. Zelos is the funniest though. I actually like Presea, but it seems I am in the minority.
